To add a bit of action to the PvP of WoW Classic, some players resort to sneaky tricks. The result is quite humorous!
PvP is on the agenda in World of Warcraft. Even before there were battlegrounds or rewards in Vanilla (Classic), skirmishes between Horde and Alliance took place. However, not all enemies are marked for PvP, especially not on “normal” servers. Therefore, one has to use a little trick, as this small clip shows:
This is the best reason to play Classic for from r/classicwow

What is there to see? The Paladin positions himself in the “Tiragarde Keep” – this is a quest area for Horde characters, relatively early on. Trolls and Orcs “have to” complete quests here and kill plenty of humanoids from Kul Tiras.
The Paladin has even given himself the name “Kultiiras” so that at first glance, one might not see that he is a player and not an NPC named “Kul Tiras”.
Moreover, he wears very simple clothing, which suits NPCs at a low level and moves back and forth in small steps, just like patrolling enemies do in WoW.
Why is this so sneaky? Approaching Hordlers mistake the player “Kultiiras” for an NPC and attack him without thinking. This (logically) counts as an attack against a PvP player, causing the Hordlers to activate their PvP. At that very moment, Kultiiras can then strike back and beat up the Hordler, who has no idea what is actually happening to him.
By the way, there are also things that are strictly forbidden in PvP – like standing on houses.
PvP trolling in low-level areas is not new: Tiragarde Keep is a popular spot for low-level PvP, as Alliance players can ambush new Hordlers well there. This was quite normal in both Vanilla and on the many pirate servers, as this clip from the former “Nostalrius” project demonstrates:
But it is nice to see that such traditions are celebrated once again with Classic. Even if a few Hordlers had to suffer for it.
Have you also “tempted” other players to PvP in such a way? Or do you find this tactic too sneaky?
