The GTA streamer Samantha “Adeptthebest” Lopez and former Overwatch pro Félix “xQc” Lengyel are publicly addressing their breakup on Twitch . Now, the 29-year-old Adept is fueling speculation with new hints.
Which streamer is in question? The Twitch streamer Samantha “Adeptthebest” Lopez became known for roleplaying in GTA 5. Since 2021, the public suspected that the 29-year-old was in an on-off relationship with Félix “xQc” Lengyel, one of the biggest Twitch streamers worldwide.
After initially only appearing as roommates, the two eventually made their relationship public, only to separate shortly after and get back together. While the relationship was relatively quiet, the breakup in September 2022 was much louder.
Since then, the relationship issues have been aired on Twitch. It became known that xQc’s expensive luxury car was registered to Adept and the streamer denied her ex access to his accounts to turn on the electricity after his move.
In January 2023, court documents were made public revealing that xQc and Adept had been married.
Now, the streamer commented on the matter: she certainly didn’t buy the ring for herself.
Adept shows her wedding ring, wants to “tell the truth”
What is the current development? In a short stream on June 1, Adept spoke for about 45 minutes about her relationship with xQc or at least heavily hinted at it. She did not mention his name, presumably due to the ongoing divorce process.
However, the streamer explained that she wanted to tell the truth, something she had wanted to do for a long time. We have embedded the clip and the translation here:
I have been trying to tell the truth for a long time. This is my wedding ring. That is a truthful statement! I did not buy it for myself. That is a truthful statement! This wedding ring was bought on May 8, we said. Right? Wasn’t that the day the receipt was issued? I have been married for 3 years. That is a truthful statement!
Adept makes hints, but xQc does not want to comment
What else does Adept say? In the stream, the 29-year-old remained vague, but made some further hints. She repeatedly spoke of sexsomnia, a particular form of sleep disorder in which individuals engage in sexual acts while asleep.
Adept explained that she does not believe this diagnosis exists, rather there is a “different term” for such behavior. However, she speaks on this topic purely for educational purposes, so that her viewers can protect themselves from people in their lives who would claim to suffer from this sleep disorder.
Additionally, the streamer reports on a series of phone calls she allegedly received on May 15 and showed a long list of missed calls, without revealing the identity of the caller. Adept only revealed that she was called by a woman who asked for help.
xQc mentions “completely disturbed things,” does not want to comment on it
What is the significance of this date? xQc abruptly ended a stream on May 15 for unknown reasons. Viewers therefore suspect a connection between Adept’s hints and the stream’s abrupt end.
The 27-year-old did not directly address his ex’s hints, only explained in his own stream that he would “not take the bait.” He had heard some “disastrous, completely disturbed things,” but would not say anything about it; time will tell.
It remains to be seen whether we will ever learn the full truth about what happened between Adept and xQc.
Meanwhile, xQc seemed unhappy with his situation, sitting alone in a big house and living off fast food. Twitch peers like shroud or Sodapoppin are doing it right, living “the real life”:
