To gain reputation for Darnassus in WoW Classic, there is a simple trick, namely a special quest. But beware! You must do this before level 60…
Currently, those playing World of Warcraft Classic, representing the Alliance, and who do not have a Night Elf character are likely considering the reputation with the Darnassus faction. After all, with a revered reputation, you can buy the Nightsabers, which look quite impressive due to their size, especially for Humans and Gnomes.
However, becoming revered with Darnassus is quite difficult and usually requires several thousand Rune Cloth or the cumbersome Morning Grain research. But there is a trick that allows you to gain thousands of reputation points already during the leveling phase – up to revered!
What is the problem? Gaining reputation with Darnassus is challenging. There are few quests for Night Elves, which means you have to rely on repeatable quests at max level that require a lot of Rune Cloth. Just buying the cloth could easily cost 1,000 gold or more, or it could take hundreds of hours of farming.
Farm the Flawless Yeti Pelt in Feralas
How can the problem be circumvented? Alliance players around level 45 should travel to Feralas. In the northern part of the area, there is a cave full of Yetis, which we have marked on the map.
There you will find three types of Yetis, varying in level from 46 to 49:
- Angry Yeti
- Wild Angry Yeti
- Old Angry Yeti
All these Yetis have a chance to drop the item “Flawless Yeti Pelt” (the chance is between 3% and 10%). Using this pelt starts a quest that requires you to return to Feathermoon Fortress and deliver the pelt. This not only gives 2200 experience and 70 silver but also a whopping 100 reputation points with Darnassus! Humans receive 110 reputation points due to their racial bonus.

The quest is repeatable: The best part is that you can repeat this quest infinitely. The Flawless Yeti Pelt can drop multiple times and be turned in. The problem is, however, that you can only carry one at a time in your inventory. So you have to return to the fortress after every Yeti Pelt, which takes about 7-8 minutes for both ways.
Quest is only useful up to level 58: But beware! As your character’s level increases, the reputation gained from this quest decreases drastically. From level 58, the quest only gives 10 reputation points. So if you want to maximize your reputation gain from the Yetis, you should grind here for a while starting around level 45 and keep returning to Feathermoon Fortress.
This farming spot is especially worthwhile for skinning. They get a lot of leather from the Yetis and earn a nice side income.
Tip: Those who bind their hearthstone at Feathermoon Fortress can sometimes save the travel time.
Is the effort worth it? If you consistently follow this method from level 45 to 55, you should easily reach a revered reputation with Darnassus. If that becomes too monotonous over time, you can of course stop beforehand and farm the rest of the reputation later in other ways – but this is hardly faster.
