With the new Title Update 3, the loot drops in The Division 2 are also being revised. Here are the changes brought by the patch.
This is changing after the update: Since Massive has postponed the increase of the Gear Score due to feedback, 500 remains the maximum Gear Score currently possible in The Division 2.
However, the update introduces more ways to farm guaranteed 500 loot. We will show you which activities with Title Update 3 provide the best loot.

Farm Locations for Gear Score 500
Here’s how to get the best loot: The update introduces 500 loot as fixed drops in several activities.
Contaminated loot from the Dark Zone will guarantee a 500 Gear Score once you have reached Score 500.
The raid rewards will also be guaranteed to be 500.
Additionally, new containers will be introduced that will guarantee 500 items. However, you will only receive these if you have already reached GS 500 once.
You can get the containers in these activities:
- Heroic Difficulty: Drop from mission bosses
- Control Points: Drop from the control point boss
- Heroic Bounties: Drop from bounty targets
- Checkpoints: From level 4
The number of items in these containers is currently unknown. However, loot has also been revised in other aspects.

Title Update 3 Improves Loot and Increases Ammunition Drops
In the preliminary patch notes, there are a number of other changes to the loot. Overall, your loot will be better.
Here’s how the loot is improved: The likelihood that your drops fall below your Gear Score is reduced. Thus, your loot should overall look better with the update.
Additionally, there are further changes:
- The quality and quantity of drops you get from drone helicopters will be increased
- The maximum rewards you can get from clan containers will be slightly reduced
- Ammunition drops from NPCs will be increased.
