In the MMORPG Lost Ark, you can use one of the Powerpass features. You can activate it directly in the character overview if you meet the requirements. What this is and how it works, we explain to you here at MeinMMO.
What is a Powerpass? The Power passes in Lost Ark are a feature designed to facilitate your entry into the endgame.
These passes ensure that your second and third characters reach the endgame of Lost Ark faster, so you don’t have to struggle forever with the leveling phase of the MMORPG.
There are various Power passes that you can activate as soon as you reach a certain point in the game. For example, if you have been to level 50 once and completed the story of Vern, you will receive one of the passes as a gift. Once you have used this one, you will get another one for free.
This applies at least to the passes that you can earn in the game and through events. The passes that you buy in the shop can always be used immediately, regardless of how far you have progressed. Besides the passes, there is also another way to level up automatically, completely without real money.
Current Event: Additionally, thanks to the Express Event, there is currently a new Power Pass in the game that brings your character to the level of Punika, which is Gearscore 1,302. To get it, you must have completed the continent Punika with another character. You have until the September update, then the free pass will disappear.
The previous event, where you could obtain a Feiton Pass that brought you to Gearscore 960, is no longer in the game. If you were unable to use it, you will not get another opportunity. You would now have to purchase one in the shop.
How does it work?
What does a Powerpass give you? If you activate a Powerpass on one of your characters, he immediately jumps to the specified level and receives equipment corresponding to his level. You can then jump directly into the endgame content with a newly created character.
Additionally, you will have completed the story up to a certain point. Nothing holds you back from getting started right away. You will also receive cosmetic items if you play a kind of additional tutorial, which you can skip.
- If you use the Vern Power Pass, your character reaches level 50 and receives equipment with Gearscore 302 for free
- The Rohendel Power Pass boosts your character to Gearscore 600 and completes the story of Rohendel
- If you use the Yorn Power Pass, your character reaches Gearscore 802 and has completed the island of the dwarves in Yorn and can set off to Feiton
- The Feiton Power Pass also brings your character to level 50 and equips him with Gearscore 960
- The Punika Power Pass sets your character to level 50 and grants him equipment of level 1,302
How does it work? You can only use a free Powerpass after completing the story up to the point of the pass with another character. Therefore, many are initially disappointed when they click on the big, glowing Power button in the character menu. Exceptions are the passes that you can buy in the shop.
To ultimately be able to use the first Powerpass, you need to do the following:
- Play a character far enough to complete the quest “Ealyn’s Gift”
- This quest ends the story of the Vern continent, so you can only use the pass afterwards
- You will then receive a Powerpass for your account
- Now create a new character or select an existing one
- Still in the character selection, press the large button “Powerpass”
- Now confirm the process and your character is at the specified level and equipped accordingly
How do you get the Powerpass? The Power passes have been available for purchase in Lost Ark since July 20. You do not need any prerequisites for this. The purchased passes can be used immediately, and you can start directly with a character in the endgame in the MMORPG. Each tier of the passes costs 1,100 royal crystals.
If you start from scratch, the Vern Pass costs 1,100 crystals and the Punika Pass 5,500. However, if you already have a character in Rohendel and buy the Punika Pass, it will only cost you 3,300 crystals, as you have already completed Vern and Rohendel.
Apart from the purchase method, you will receive a Vern Pass for free as soon as you complete the story of Vern with a character. If you use this, you will receive a second Vern Pass as a gift.
In the currently ongoing Hyper Express Event, you can also snag a free Punika Pass until September 28, but only if you already have a character in Punika on your account.
How long does it take you to reach level 50? However, it is questionable whether you really need to pay attention to the Powerpass as a new player. Because when you stumble around the world inexperienced, it takes quite a while until you can complete the story.
Experienced players, however, have already proven that they can complete the main story of the game in about two days. Here, the Powerpass is quite close at hand.
However, these players usually already know how the characters feel in the endgame. The Powerpass thus plays to the advantage of more experienced players.
