The Twitch streamer Asmongold followed BlizzCon 2023 live and reached a peak of over 220,000 viewers. We explain what his views were on the news regarding Diablo 4, WoW, and Overwatch 2.
This is what Asmongold said about the new features: Regarding Diablo 4, the Twitch streamer was fully convinced: All the information was to his satisfaction, the expansion looked good:
The Diablo announcements were great. Everything they said about Diablo was really good. I was happy with Diablo – nothing was bad.
A clear win for Blizzard, judges the Texan.
However, the announcements regarding Hearthstone were of no concern to the streamer: “Who cares?”, he just mumbled.
In Overwatch 2, Asmongold likes the new hero Mauga, a Samoan: “I would log in to play that guy. He looks great.”
Asmongold’s opinion on WoW is divided
What about WoW? Regarding his beloved game World of Warcraft, Asmongold expressed a divided opinion. For WoW Classic Hardcore, Blizzard would likely introduce the “Solo Self-Found” mode – regarding the “Season of Discovery,” Asmongold initially did not want to comment. He was still missing the information from the Deep Dive.
When he eventually shared his opinion, however, he sounded skeptical:
There is so much crazy stuff going on, like a private server, like a Blizzard private server.
He does not want to see something like a “Warlock Tank” in WoW, that is just too much and would redesign the game. However, he does want to try out the new raid.
New WoW expansion more exciting than Dragonflight, not as much hype as Shadowlands
At the retail presentation regarding WoW: ‘The War Within’, Asmongold said he liked the idea and the trailer was great.
The new expansion initially seems more exciting than ‘Dragonflight’, but the presentation of Shadowlands with the Jailer had convinced him much more than ‘The War Within’ now, even though Shadowlands was ultimately worse in reality than initially thought and kept getting weaker.
Introducing 3 expansions to the players makes Asmongold feel divided: It takes away much hype.
