After fan feedback, Bungie has decided to adjust the start times of the two upcoming Prestige Raid encounters in Destiny 2 slightly to allow for a smooth World-First race. We have the details on the new start time and date.
World-First Race: After Bungie announced the Prestige mode for the two encounters of the Leviathan Raid, the studio was repeatedly asked by fans if a race for the world’s first Raid clear would take place again.
Bungie has also heard many players continually request that the release timing be staggered in this case. This would give them the chance to participate in both World-First runs. Bungie has now fulfilled this request. We have the details.
What changes with the start of the Prestige Raid encounters – Start time, date
On July 17, 2018, the Update 1.2.3 for Destiny 2 will be released. Among other things, the long-awaited Prestige Raid encounters will be added to the game.
To give as many fans as possible a chance to participate in the World-First race for the first successful Raid completion, Bungie has now heeded the requests of numerous Guardians and staggered the start dates of the Prestige modes.
This has resulted in the following changes:
World Eater: The Prestige mode for the World Eater has been pushed back by one hour. This should give players enough time to download Update 1.2.3 before they can start.
- World Eater Prestige mode starts on July 17, 2018, at 8:00 PM
Starwinder: The Prestige Starwinder starts 24 hours later. This way, the release of the activities will be better staggered and as many fans as possible will have the opportunity to participate in both races.
- Starwinder Prestige mode starts on July 18, 2018, at 7:00 PM
Modifiers and Loadouts: Additionally, there were some – albeit vague – hints about the active modifiers and loadouts that players can expect at the start of the Prestige Raid encounters.
In the first week after the start, a brand new modifier Arsenal is expected to be active. Except that it is supposed to be very “strange,” Bungie did not want to reveal anything further.
There was also a hint about one of the slots for the upcoming weapon loadout – but in the form of a riddle: “I looked down from my worn tip and felt the autumn wind blowing.”
