Currently, many players are considering a return to Destiny 2. Some are thinking about a fresh start and are asking themselves: Should I buy Destiny 2 and the Warmind DLC? To help you with your decision, we answer some important questions. Here’s what you need to know about the Warmind expansion.
I want to return to Destiny 2 with Warmind. But when does it actually start? The Warmind expansion will be released on May 8, 2018, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The preload for buyers and Season Pass holders on all platforms will begin at 4:00 PM on May 8. If the preceding maintenance works go as planned, you can start at 8:00 PM.

I only have the base version of Destiny 2. Do I need to buy the Season Pass now to play the Warmind DLC? No, the Season Pass is not required for the content of the Warmind expansion. However, if you missed the first DLC “Curse of Osiris” and want to experience it along with DLC 2, you can purchase both DLCs at a discount with the Season Pass.
Is the Warmind expansion also available separately? DLC II will be available as a standalone version starting May 8.
The first DLC “Curse of Osiris” is not required for DLC 2? Exactly. You do not need the first DLC if you are only interested in the content of the Warmind expansion.
