Fortunately, there are beta testers in Minecraft. Otherwise, the frogs with the giant hunger might really have stayed in the game. Videos show how frogs gobble up whole goats.
What’s wrong with the frogs? The Minecraft team introduced the new frogs in more detail. The animals come to Minecraft with the new update 1.19 and can be found, for example, in swamp biomes. In some beta versions, players can already test the frogs.
They are actually supposed to be able to eat small slime blocks among other things. With their long tongues, they then snatch the blocks and devour them. During the latest Minecraft Live presentation on February 10, the team elaborated on the frogs and explained: For a short period, frogs could even eat goats. And there are videos about that.

This is what players have found: Already in January, players who were playing a beta build of Minecraft reported about the frogs’ giant hunger. This is what the Minecraft team shows: During the Minecraft Live presentation on February 10, a player asked whether it was possible for frogs to eat axolotls. The team explained that this is not possible, but axolotls can swallow tadpoles. Alexander Östman from Mojang then elaborated on the goat bug:
One of Mojang’s community managers even went a step further and chained several goats to a post, which were then devoured by a frog:
Meanwhile, the bug has been removed, and frogs should no longer be hungry enough to eat goats.
Since the release of Minecraft, the game has consistently provided funny moments that YouTubers and streamers share with the community. There are some classics that every player should know.
