As soon as patch 6.01 went live in Fortnite, data miners have already scoured the code for new skins and emotes. We present to you what will soon be waiting in the Fortnite shop. Primarily, these are scarecrows and hints at the “Dark Bomber” skin.
Data miners look to the future: A new patch went live in Fortnite today. You can read about what it directly brought and what has changed in Fortnite in the patch notes.
However, the patch also brought “assets” into the game code: These include skins, gliders, pickaxes, and other items for the shop. Epic will likely unlock these items gradually over the next 7 days. Players can then purchase them in the shop for V-Bucks.
It is not entirely clear when exactly the individual items will arrive. But the selection this time should be processed by next week on 9.10 or 10.10.
What are these new skins?
Scarecrows for Halloween: The two new skins are “Straw Ops” (female) and “Hay Man” (male). Both skins are epic, meaning purple, and feature scarecrows.
Currently, preparations are underway in Fortnite for Halloween – there are also some map changes.
The “scarecrows” were already expected by players, they were seen in a loading screen:
The new accessories in Fortnite
Gliders, back bling, and pickaxes in matching looks: The new gliders and back bling are themed around the scarecrow motif. There are also three pieces for the “Dark Bomber.”
- Among the back bling, there is an obscure dark birdhouse and a bizarre sunflower.
- The new pickaxes are a “dark glyph” and a kind of hay scythe.
- The gliders include a “Dark Glyph” glider and again something for the scarecrow. Here is the scarecrow’s glider in action.
Where is the Dark Bomber?
Interesting: Apparently, some of the items are intended for the “Dark Bomber.” However, it is not yet in the game’s data.
The “Dark Bomber” is likely the “dark variant” of the color bomber. Players have been waiting for this skin for several weeks, and it was briefly hinted at in this image.
The new emotes in Fortnite
Do the T: This is the new emote “T-Pose,” which we will probably see in the shop soon. It seems pretty clear that it’s an emote for the two new scarecrows. The figure stands stiffly and raises its arms. This is an “infinite emote” like the cheering.
