The origin of the world is still widely discussed today. There are also such stories about the Pokémon world and some monsters that exist in Pokémon GO are said to be millions of years old.
This is what it’s about: The story of Pokémon is vast, and in various games and movies, we repeatedly learn small bits about the origin of the Pokémon world.
Just like the first animals in the real world, the first Pokémon are said to have appeared millions of years ago. Here, we will tell you about the origin of Pokémon and reveal which monsters have existed in the Pokémon world for millions of years.
The origin of the Pokémon world – Who is behind it?
This is how the world was created: The first Pokémon that existed was Arceus. It is considered the “creator of the Pokémon world” and is said to have created the first monsters.
Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina were the first creations. Dialga and Palkia embodied time and space, and Giratina formed the counterpart.
After that, Selfe, Tobutz, and Vesprit were created, embodying knowledge, emotions, and willpower. Then followed Kyogre and Groudon – they are said to have filled the sea even more and created larger land. Additionally, there is Rayquaza, which should live in the ozone layer.
Finally, Regigigas was created, which formed the continents and shifted the regions.
All these legendary Pokémon led to the creation of the world in which Pokémon exists. The first non-legendary Pokémon are said to have evolved, just like humans do.
These were the first Pokémon: For this, the Pokémon stories go back 300 million years. The fossil Pokémon of each generation have provided insight into this.
300 million years ago, Kabuto is said to have lived on the ocean floor. Over millions of years, it is said that Kabuto evolved into Kabutops, which was then also able to live on land. This is said to reflect the evolution from water to land.
Around the same time, the first version of Genesect is also said to have emerged. A mysterious Pokémon that we could catch in Pokémon GO through special research and raids.
This is how the evolution continued: About 100,000 years ago, different monsters inhabited the Pokémon world. Koknodon, Schilterus, Liliep, Anorith, Aerodactyl, Galapaflos, and Flapteryx are said to have lived. Relicanth and Muschas are Pokémon that lived back then and are said to not have changed until today.
About 10,000 years ago, there was also an ice age in the Pokémon world. Large herds of Mamutel are said to have lived there. After the ice age, this population diminished again.
This is exciting: In this story, it becomes clear that the Pokémon world seems particularly close to the real world. The evolution sounds similar, and the fossil Pokémon are said to reflect dinosaurs that lived several millions of years ago.
In Pokémon GO, the story of the monsters is a bit different. Fossil Pokémon appeared here in the wild alongside regular monsters. In many other Pokémon games, these monsters are considered extinct and must be revived through fossils.
