The third episode of the MeinMMO-Podcast is here, and this time we are dealing with the topic “WoW Killers”. Tune in and let us know your opinion!
What makes the MeinMMO-Podcast special? There are already some good gaming podcasts in the German-speaking area, but none like the one from MeinMMO!
Just like on our website, we will mainly focus on the diverse world of MMOs and multiplayer online games. We will not only deal with individual games such as the MMORPGs New World and World of Warcraft, but also with topics surrounding the events and phenomena of the multiplayer genre.
Spotify Libsyn iTunesEverything about so-called “WoW Killers”
What is this episode about? The term “WoW Killer” has been heard by anyone who has ever dabbled in MMORPGs. After the meteoric rise of World of Warcraft as the largest MMORPG on the market, other games have repeatedly tried to dethrone the reigning king. But they have failed.
In the latest episode of the MeinMMO-Podcast, we discuss the phenomenon of “WoW Killers” and questions such as:
- Why are there even “WoW Killers”? Where does the concept come from?
- What did the games that were referred to as “WoW Killers” fail at? Did they have anything in common?
- Will there ever be a “WoW Killer”?
Who is involved? The latest episode is once again hosted by Leya Jankowski from the editorial team. The editor-in-chief Gerd Schuhmann and MMORPG editor Alexander Leitsch will be joining her.
