2022 brings plenty of interesting changes for fans of MMORPGs again. We at MeinMMO present the new expansions and the completely new MMORPGs that our readers are looking forward to the most in 2022. One game is particularly in demand.
What is this about? In a survey, we wanted to know from our readers which new MMORPGs and expansions they are looking forward to the most in 2022. A total of 2,826 people participated, and each participant could cast up to three votes.
For the final ranking, we excluded “Another (Comment)” as very few comments were posted about it. Destiny 2 Witch Queen, WoW WotLK Classic, and Last Epoch were each mentioned once.

What kind of game is this? The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG, but not a classic one. It focuses on many single-player content and allows you to have fun anywhere in the world of Tamriel, regardless of your level.
ESO impresses especially with its unique story and the setting of the game world. There are many iconic places that players are already familiar with from the “Elder Scrolls” games, as well as the well-known compass instead of a minimap.
The game offers:
- regular updates, at least one each quarter
- a really large game world
- fully voiced quests and exciting stories
- varied dungeons
- server versus server PvP
Recently, the expansion Blackwood was released in summer, which was presented in detail by the YouTuber Entenburg.
What happens in 2022? It is still not entirely clear. There will probably be 3 new DLCs and a large expansion in the summer. This year’s focus is on a classic “Elder Scrolls” intrigue.
In the first teaser video, you can already see that the Bretons play an important role. Exact details will be available only on January 27, when the big announcement event takes place. This may also be a reason why the expansion only made it to 5th place on this list.
For whom is this interesting? ESO is a feast for all solo players, fans of action-packed combat systems and of course nerds who simply love the world of “The Elder Scrolls.” With scaling, players can start directly with the latest content and thus play together with friends, regardless of when they started.
The action-packed combat system and the exploration of the vast game world provide a lot of fun.
