Players who participate in the Open Beta of The Division 2 will receive some rewards for the main game. You must meet these criteria to unlock the rewards.
Joining the Open Beta is worth it: From March 1 to March 4, everyone interested can try out the Open Beta of The Division 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Even those who participated in the Private Beta can take another look at the test phase, as it is worth it:
- There are some new features compared to the Private Beta, such as an additional main mission, the Chem Launcher as a new skill, many bug fixes, and improvements based on community feedback.
- You can stress test the servers and show the developers whether the server capacity will be sufficient for launch.

How to get the Open Beta rewards

DC Patriot Weapon Skin: This weapon skin could already be unlocked by participating in the Private Beta. In the Open Beta, you have another chance to obtain it. You just need to log into the beta.
Capitol Hill Arm Patch: This is a nice arm patch depicting the Capitol. This was also available in the Private Beta. You will receive it by completing the Invaded Mission. First, you must complete the main mission “Jefferson Trade Center” in the beta to access three level-30 characters. Now log out, choose one of these characters, and an Invaded Mission will start immediately. Unlike the Private Beta, these Invaded Missions are available at launch of the Open Beta – they are not activated later.
In an Invaded Mission, the Black Tusk faction awaits with new, heavily armed enemies. The AI is smarter, and you will need the specializations of the level-30 agents to succeed in the mission.
Supply Crate Backpack Trophy: This is a backpack charm that you receive by completing the introductory mission for the Dark Zone in the East. After completing the “Jefferson Trade Center” mission, you will receive the mission from Senait Ezera, an NPC in the base of operations at the White House.
Capitol Hill Backpack Trophy: Another backpack charm that is easy to get. Log into the Open Beta, and it should be unlocked.
All these rewards are cosmetic in nature. They do not grant you gameplay advantages in The Division 2, but they adorn your agent.
What community members say about the rewards
On reddit, several users write that they will likely log into the beta for these rewards. One mentions that he didn’t plan to do this, but now he has a reason to check it out.
Another user says that these rewards are nice little gimmicks to help Massive with the server test. He loves cosmetics that are easily obtainable, which is why he will participate in the beta.
Moreover, several agents wonder if these rewards will actually be unlocked. Because the two rewards from the Private Beta are still shown in the Ubi Club as “not unlocked”. But they should be available at the launch of The Division 2.
