Fallout 76 offers a cash shop for players who want to invest a little money in their appearance in addition to the gameplay experience. Since the launch of Fallout 76, the costs of atoms have also been known.
What is the Atom Shop? In the Atom Shop, you can stock up on cosmetic items in Fallout 76. These change your appearance or give you access to new emotes. You do not gain any advantages from this.
How to Get Atoms and Their Cost
Buying Atoms: Atoms are the “premium currency” in Fallout 76. Instead of real money, you pay in the Atom Shop with atoms, which you must buy with real money. Since the early access of Fallout 76, the prices of atoms have been known:
- 500 atoms: €4.99
- 1100 atoms: €9.99
- 2400 atoms: €19.99
- 5000 atoms: €39.99
Earn Atoms: If you do not want to spend real money, you can also earn atoms. Completing challenges consistently rewards you with atoms in Fallout 76. Most challenges are fulfilled alongside regular gameplay and many of them are repeatable.
Items Available in the Atom Shop
What can I buy? For atoms, you receive purely cosmetic items that can change the appearance of your Power Armor, your Pip-Boy, or your constructed items in the C.A.M.P.
You can also buy items that appear directly in the game:
- Costumes that your character can wear over normal armor
- Items you can place in the C.A.M.P.
- Tattoos for your character
- Emotes and icons
The Atom Shop also offers some additional features for the photo mode of Fallout 76, such as new frames.
Is the cash shop worth it? Reactions to the shop with premium currency vary. The Atom Shop of Fallout 76 is neither condemned nor praised.
Most fans find the prices in the Atom Shop “reasonable” and many players appreciate that you can also earn atoms in the game. So if someone wants to invest money into customization, they are welcome to do so.
Other players find the shop unnecessary and think the time required is too much if you do not want to pay money. One user reported collecting 690 atoms after over 12 hours and “just enough for a pajama.”
