At the end of FIFA 23, we take a look at the most popular cards in Ultimate Team. The first place for the most played player leaves his competitors far behind.
How is the ranking established? Futbin, one of the largest FIFA service sites, has published a ranking of the cards with the most games in FUT. The data results from the statistics of players who were traded on the transfer market.
After analyzing the statistics, Futbin.com presented a compilation of the most popular goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and strikers on its Instagram account. A French striker stood out among all other players.
Kylian Mbappé has nearly 100 million appearances in FUT
The winner of the ranking is the undisputed French top striker Kylian Mbappé, who is likely to break the 100 million mark in Ultimate Team in the days leading up to EA Sports FC 24.
As you can see from the post from futbin.com, Kylian Mbappé leaves his competitors far behind in the attack. In second place among the most played players is Liverpool’s defense chief Virgil Van Dijk. However, he has “only” completed 75 million games.
Rank 3 with around 55 million played matches goes to Cristiano Ronaldo, who will likely receive a hefty downgrade in the new FIFA successor FC 24.
A bit unexpectedly: In the ranking, we find neither superstar Lionel Messi nor the cover star of FC 24 and the overwhelmingly dominant player of last season, Erling Haaland.
However, among the most played players, there are one or two names that you might not necessarily expect in this ranking. Especially two French forward players can also boast an impressive number of completed matches.
Many French players among the favorites
Which other players were played most often in FIFA 23? Alongside leading player Kylian Mbappé are several of his compatriots from France. The French national goalkeeper Mike Maignan is, like left-back Theo Hernández, represented with two different cards. Additionally, there are two Road to the Final cards from the French forwards Thomas Lemar and Jonathan Ikoné.
For both of the latter players, one could not necessarily expect such popularity in FIFA 23, as they have been more under the radar in recent years. Their dynamic special cards have significantly improved their standing in Ultimate Team.
