The 5th generation in Pokémon GO is coming, and the previous generations still have Shinies that have not been released. There are fewer than many thought.
This is what it’s about: Almost every event in Pokémon GO brings a new Shiny and dilutes the list of unreleased Shinies. Especially the first generations only have a few Pokémon left that do not exist as Shiny.
The majority of the Pokémon are actually monsters that have a peculiarity. Other Pokémon, on the other hand, seem long overdue, as they are everywhere but cannot appear in their shiny form.
All missing Shinies in Pokémon GO
What needs to be noted: Niantic has already announced some Shinies with the Ultra Bonus, which we will not show in our list anymore. They are not in the game yet, but will come in September.
In our lists, we will show their peculiarities for the corresponding Pokémon. There are many regional Pokémon that are still not available as Shiny or monsters that have special abilities.
Missing Shinies of Generation 1
How many Shinies are missing? Out of a total of 78 different families, only 25 Shiny families are missing.

What is noticeable here? Four families of water Pokémon are missing as Shiny from this generation. The release of these Shiny monsters could take a while, as a water event just occurred.
All legendary Pokémon from this generation have already been available as Shiny. Only Mew as a mysterious Pokémon is still missing.
Missing Shinies of Generation 2
How many Shinies are still missing? There are 68 families in the 2nd generation in total. 28 of them are still not Shiny. It should be noted here that many of these monsters already have pre-evolutions from the 1st generation that are also not Shiny.

What is noticeable here? Missing are mainly some Pokémon that also have evolutions in other generations. In addition, all legendary Pokémon are already in the game as Shiny.
It is also notable that the baby Pokémon Rabauz is the only baby from this generation that is still not available as Shiny in the game.

How many Shinies are still missing? 31 Shiny families are still missing here. However, that’s less than half of the total 75 Pokémon families in the 3rd generation.

What is noticeable here? While the 1st and 2nd generations do not have missing legendary Pokémon as Shiny anymore, there are still shiny versions of the Regis missing here. It will be interesting to see what Niantic has planned for the trio.
Moreover, it is still very mixed with the Pokémon. There are still some Shinies missing, which promises many exciting events.

How many Shinies are still missing? 48 of the 72 families still do not have Shiny versions. However, it should be mentioned that some Pokémon are still missing in general. Additionally, there are many Pokémon that have pre-evolutions in other generations.

What is noticeable here? Generation 4 still has the most missing Shinies. This is also logical, as some Pokémon from here only came into the game this past May.
Many legendary and mysterious Pokémon are still waiting for their release. It remains to be seen how Niantic intends to introduce the shiny versions of the many mysterious Pokémon.
