My favorite MMO in 2018 is definitely Guild Wars 2. This year, I spent by far the most time playing Guild Wars 2. The unique class mechanics, varied quests, and especially the beautiful music by Jeremy Soule captivated me immediately. I can only recommend to all players interested in theme park MMOs who have not yet checked out Guild Wars 2 to try the free base version.

Far Cry 5 was the first game I got to cover for MeinMMO, and it has quietly, discreetly sneaked into my heart. This serious, religious story, which the community has many interpretations for, paired with absurd situations and characters as well as charming villains, has hit my taste perfectly. Furthermore, the coop mode and the arcade, in which I wasted many more hours than is good for me, added to its appeal.
Next year, the story will even continue with Far Cry: New Dawn, and I’m already excited about what Joseph Seed has in store for the players again.

In 2018, Pokémon GO was my favorite. I’ve been playing the game since its launch in 2016, and I’m happy with how much the gameplay has improved. New cool features like the friends function, which allows you to send gifts to friends, promote social interaction. That trainers can now also solve quests in the form of field and special research is the most important feature for me in 2018.

These were our favorite games of 2018. Were some of your favorites included, and which titles do you think we overlooked?
