In 2018, I spent most of my online time in The Elder Scrolls Online. Even though I criticized the current Summerset addon harshly, I always enjoy returning to the fantasy world of Tamriel. Yes, I wish the developers would try some new things in terms of quests to create more variety. But ESO is currently the MMORPG where I can simply lose myself.

My favorite in 2018 is actually Destiny 2 Forsaken – I find the Gambit mode incredibly entertaining to unwind after work. Gambit offers me a wonderful mix of routine and adrenaline. The battles against the PvE opponents always follow similar patterns, and the challenge is to optimize that pattern. But the PvP component and the race with the opposing team give me the real kick. Otherwise, I find Forsaken a truly great game to play without much ambition and just for relaxation – the gameplay and presentation simply appeal to me.

In 2018, my game was still Pokémon GO. I love the social component of the game, and thanks to Pokémon GO I go outside even in bad weather. The new PvP mode that was recently released greatly enhances the game. I can now battle with my friends over a distance and compete against them. I am looking forward to the coming months with this great game.

On the last page, Lucas, Micha, and Patrick will share their favorite games of 2018.
