How long will Mewtwo stay? You only have a week to fight Mewtwo. Already on September 23, the raid bosses will change again.

Mewtwo Overview: Max CP, Attacks and More
Mewtwo is a level 5 raid boss and will be released on Monday, September 16. Because this happens at 10 PM and the raids are mostly inactive here, you will see the monster in our time zone starting Tuesday morning in raids.
What is Mewtwo’s max CP? A Mewtwo with 100% IV has 2387 CP, or 2984 CP with weather boost.
What type does Mewtwo belong to? Mewtwo is a Psychic type and is particularly strong against Fighting and Poison Pokémon.
What attacks does Mewtwo have? Mewtwo has a wide move pool. It can learn the following attacks:
- Fast Attacks: Psychic Blade, Confusion
- Charge Attacks: Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, Psycho Cut, Psyshock
How many trainers do you need? Mewtwo can be defeated fairly easily with three trainers. This works even if you are level 25.

These Pokémon are strong: Mewtwo is weak against Dark, Ghost, and Bug Pokémon. We recommend the following Pokémon:
- Giratina (Origin Form) with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
- Mewtwo with Psychic Blade and Shadow Ball
- Gengar with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
- Tyranitar with Bite and Crunch
- Sableye with Feint Attack and Faint Attack
- Pinsir with Fury Cutter and X-Scissor
- Houndoom with Howl and Faint Attack
- Drifblim with Shadow Sneak and Shadow Ball
- Banette with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
The list of good counters is long. In general, you can use almost any Pokémon that has attacks of the types Dark, Ghost, and Bug.

The chances of getting a Shiny will likely be 1 in 19. So it has always been the case with legendary shinies.
