Which engine is being used? The developers use Unreal Engine 3. However, rumors are circulating that Lost Ark could receive an upgrade to Unreal Engine 4, which would make sense if the developers plan to also release the online RPG as a mobile game. UE 4 is better suited for mobile devices.
What graphic style does the MMORPG use? It features a realistic Asian style. The graphics are very detailed, even though it is played from an isometric view, like from above, as in Diablo.
What do the characters look like? Although you view the gameplay from a certain distance due to the perspective, the developers place great importance on representing the characters as in-depth as possible.
You can see this in the character editor. Many details can be adjusted, giving you unique faces for the heroes. This results in models that look detailed and beautiful. In conversations, the camera zooms in so that you can see expressions on the faces.
What can we expect visually from the monsters? The creatures are designed with a distinct Asian touch. You will encounter living mushrooms, massive dragons, or ride on Chocobo-like birds. All these beings are full of details, which makes it almost a pity that Lost Ark is played from an isometric perspective.
How appealing is the game world? As can be seen from videos, the beautiful, richly detailed landscape invites exploration. Sunlight sparkles on the water, and mysterious plants line the paths, demonstrating what the engine is capable of. Traveling through the world of Lost Ark is simply a visual delight.
When will the MMORPG be released? Amazon will bring the MMORPG to us in 2021. However, a precise date has not yet been set.
