Diablo 4 has been skyrocketing on Twitch since its release in early June. We at MeinMMO show you which streamers are currently standing out.
Diablo 4 is currently this successful: Blizzard’s new action RPG is currently the most viewed game on Twitch. More than 111 million streaming hours have been consumed in the last 30 days – more than five times the amount for the second-placed Rust (via sullygnome).
If you’re big in Diablo 4, you’re generally doing well on Twitch right now. Here you get an overview of the top 5 in terms of Diablo 4.
How is the list compiled? The data in this list is from Friday, June 16, 2023, and refers to the last 14 days. The streamers are sorted by watch time, meaning viewed hours. We used the following criteria to create the top 5:
- It concerns the 5 largest streamers worldwide, regardless of region or streaming language
- The channel must belong to a person, company and event channels are excluded
Rank 5: Kripp
- Streamer: Octavian “Kripparrian” Morosan
- Stream language: English
- Watch time: 1,618,751
- Streamed hours: 197
- Channel: twitch.tv/nl_kripp
The Romanian-Canadian streamer primarily plays Hearthstone, but that came to an end on June 2. The PoE and Diablo veteran has already spent more than 200 hours with his necromancer since release.
Five days ago, Kripparrian reached the coveted level 100 – you can admire his exuberant enthusiasm here:
Rank 4: Jessirocks
- Streamer: Thomas “Jessirocks” M.
- Stream language: German
- Watch time: 2,777,408
- Streamed hours: 236
- Channel: twitch.tv/jessirocks
The Austrian Jessirocks is an enthusiastic hack’n’slay player. The focus of his channel has thus far been on Diablo 3, but he also shows alternatives like PoE, Lost Ark, or Diablo Immortal in between.
With the release of Diablo 4, Jessirocks shot to rank 1 of the German Twitch, where he still stands for the last 14 days. During the first 72 hours, he let his stream run continuously; if he wasn’t playing, others took over.
With the colleagues from GameStar, you can find out how the streamer rated his first 200 hours in Diablo 4. His conclusion about the nasty butcher can be seen in the clip:
Rank 3: wudijo
- Streamer: wudijo
- Stream language: English
- Watch time: 3,283,314
- Streamed hours: 194
- Channel: twitch.tv/wudijo
Wudijo is a German streamer who speaks English in his streams. He is a real Diablo expert, so it is hardly surprising that he was among the first streamers worldwide to reach level 100 in hardcore. He was also the first to achieve this feat all by himself.
However, Wudijo lost his huntress a few days ago. Dying against the toughest boss in the game is not a disgrace, but the way it happened is pretty bitter. As a true professional, the streamer had another huntress at level 50 in store – had:
Rank 2: Quin69
- Streamer: Quintin “Quin69” Crawford
- Stream language: English
- Watch time: 3,292,700
- Streamed hours: 192
- Channel: twitch.tv/quin69
The New Zealander Quin69 is almost as known for his expertise in hack’n’slays like PoE and Diablo as for his constant bans. With his druid, the streamer fought his way to level 91, only to then die due to a nasty bug.
The hardcore character was hit after he had just defeated a nightmare dungeon and wanted to port back to Kyovashad. However, during the loading screen, the game froze. After a restart, Quin60 was then greeted by the message that his druid had passed into the hall of the dead – nearly 173 game hours were lost.
As a real professional, the streamer is not easily shaken by such trifles (warning, loud!):
Honorable Mentions
- The account Fextralife is currently in first place among the most viewed channels for Diablo 4 with a watch time of 10,445,214 hours. However, it is not a single person behind it but a community and news site.
- The Twitch streamer cArn_ does not make it into the list with a watch time of 191,796 hours, but as the first player to reach level 100 in hardcore, he is still deserving of respect. He too had to succumb to a disconnect.
- Asmongold is generally regarded as the biggest MMORPG streamer on Twitch and is a big fan of hack’n’slays like Diablo and Path of Exile. Accordingly, he would have been guaranteed a place on this list. At the release, Asmongold jumped right in, but after just a few hours it was over. The streamer announced that he would show Diablo 4 on his secondary account but has overall streamed less than 30 hours.
Rank 1: shroud
- Streamer: Michael “shroud” Grzesiek
- Stream language: English
- Watch time: 4,357,271
- Streamed hours: 143
- Channel: twitch.tv/shroud
The former CS:GO pro shroud is actually the shooter god of Twitch. On the channel of the “human aimbot,” titles like Valorant and Counter-Strike usually run. But the streamer’s heart beats for WoW – a love that his viewers do not share.
Even with Diablo 4, shroud attracts significantly fewer viewers than he did in spring with CS:GO and Counter-Strike 2 (via TwitchTracker). However, this bothers the streamer little, as he is fully immersed in grinding and reached level 100 with his druid – only to then die due to a server lag.
