Recently, we at MeinMMO wanted to know from you which weapons are really annoying in the PvP of Destiny 2 . We now present the election results to you and reveal who the top 3 are.
What is the survey about? On November 16, we started a survey and wanted to know from you which weapons regularly spoil the fun for you in the Crucible.
The PvP of Destiny is always a controversial topic. Some love to measure themselves against other players. Other Guardians simply have no interest in the Crucible and get annoyed when they are forced to go into PvP for a quest.
But regardless of whether you are a Crucible virtuoso, evening Guardian, or hardcore raider, some weapons are simply annoying in PvP.
You voted – these are the three biggest nuisances in PvP
More than 3000 MeinMMO readers participated in our survey (as of November 23, 2019). Each participant had only one vote available to crown their personal anti-favorite. The ‘winner’s podium’ looks like this:
- Place 1: Jötunn – With a proud 40% of all votes, the fusion rifle secures the top spot.
- Place 2: Erentil FR4 – The silver medal also goes to a fusion rifle. With 20% of all votes, this weapon is not nearly as annoying as place 1.
- Place 3: Dust-Rock Blues – Representing all shotguns, the pump secures a place on the podium with 12% of the votes.
For a medal, the next mentions didn’t quite make it, but we don’t want to withhold the remaining mentions from you. Places 4 to 9 look like this:
- Place 4 – The recluse spider with 7%.
- Place 5 – The summit with 6%.
- Place 6 – Some of you don’t find any weapon particularly annoying (6%).
- Place 7 – The Wardcliff Coil with 3%.
- Place 8 – Izanagi’s Burden with 3%.
- Place 9 – 2% of you are annoyed by an unnamed weapon.
What do our readers say about the most annoying PvP weapons?
Place 1 – Jötunn: The exotic fusion rifle Jötunn is by far your least favorite weapon in the Crucible. The Exotic is affectionately called Toaster and is distinguished by its homing shots – these take out opposing Guardians with just one hit.
Finding words for your hate is not always easy.

Place 2 – Erentil FR4: Although the fusion rifle Erentil has only about half as many votes as the front-runner, the absurd one-shot range of the Erentil really gets on your nerves.
Some of you even prefer the Jötunn over the Erentil. In the competitive spheres of Destiny, the Erentil seems to be very annoying.
Well… in PvP-comp at higher levels, the Erentil is indeed more annoying. You hardly see a Jötunn.

Place 3 – Dust-Rock Blues: Some of you have issues with shotguns. Either you get annoyed by opponents who hide in corners or those who wait behind doors and sneakily greet you with a load of lead.
Really annoying are the characters who crouch in the corner with a sword or a pump waiting for opponents; cowards.

Equally as bad as passive campers are aggressive shotgun players.
Since the Dust-Rock Blues or the Mindbender have dominated since the first hour of Forsaken and will continue to do so for a long time, they are my number 1. How often a Hunter hops after you like a madman. […], instead of switching to their primary, they chase me and blast so much lead until they finally get me. The sad thing is, often it’s already the first shot in the slide (due to the perks), where you can’t keep up with your primary.

This exotic weapon also bothers you: In the comments, one weapon was frequently mentioned. The exotic rocket launcher Truth. The rockets are homing like Jötunn, just better. Additionally, the rockets explode as soon as enemies are nearby – not just on impact.
In some PvP matches in comp, the opponent won only because he had the Truth equipped. And decided the match for himself, mostly when it was 3:3.

Not only weapons annoy you in PvP
Skills cause annoyance: In the comments, there were not only annoying firearms. Some readers feel that the different abilities of the Guardians are too strong, uncounterable, or unbalanced.
Titans knock out every opponent with just one blow thanks to their shoulder charge. Thanks to exotic armor like the One-Eyed Mask, the hefty Titans can storm across the battlefield nearly unaffected and spread fear and terror.
Not the weapons, but the Titan abilities that are simply OP. I mean, one hit and you’re dead, Titans just run around and hit… they don’t even shoot… has nothing to do with a “shooter”.

Will the planned changes for the next season change the situation?
Other classes will also get their share. The agile Hunters just hop around and evade any shots. Warlocks, on the other hand, have an annoying one-shot ability. The charged grenade of the Voidwalker is worse for some than any weapon.
I’m annoyed more by abilities that can one-shot. Whether it’s a melee attack (like Skullfort) or a hand supernova.
