The Fusion Rifle Telesto
What is the Telesto? The Telesto is an exotic fusion rifle for the energy slot with Void damage and should be well-known to many Destiny veterans from the first Destiny installment.

What makes this fusion rifle so special? The fusion projectiles fired by the Telesto stick to targets and surfaces and detonate with a delayed Void explosion. Additionally, multikills with this weapon instantly reload your equipped kinetic and energy weapons from reserves.
How do you get the Telesto? You can obtain this weapon as a random drop from all sources that drop exotic engrams and sometimes the Agent of the Nine, Xur, has this weapon as well.
How do you obtain the exotic catalyst, and what does the masterwork version do?
- Source: Can be found in the hardest challenges of the World-eater (Prestige World’s Edge)
- Upgrade effect: Magazine +60, “Deeper Pockets”: increased ammunition reserves
What is this exotic weapon best suited for? The Telesto has changed from the power slot to the energy slot within the weapon slot changes, but the weapon itself still inflicts damage almost like a power weapon. Therefore, it has been very popular among Guardians since Forsaken in almost all activities.
The Telesto has been adjusted recently, but it still ranks among the best exotic guns of Destiny 2.
In PvE, it can easily wipe out large groups of enemies—especially due to the 30% damage buff. Bosses and elite enemies can also be effortlessly taken down with it—particularly when collaborating. Only in raids should you turn to exotic alternatives in the power slot.
In PvP, although the weapon has been nerfed, almost every hit with it still means a kill—though eliminating several enemies at once has become rare. In the Gambit mode, the Telesto performs universally well against both AI enemies and human opponents.
On the next page, you’ll find one of the most bizarre weapons of the entire Destiny arsenal.
