The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has countless furnishing items for your house. Especially at the beginning, this can be a bit overwhelming. We show you in our list the 10 most useful items for your domicile.
The Elder Scrolls Online offers you many options when you feel like housing. There are various houses on almost every map, catering to every taste and budget.
Of course, you must then furnish your new domicile according to your wishes. Besides personal taste, there are also items that provide you with additional benefits.
Many of the old hands already know these, but everyone has to start somewhere. Some of the items are only accessible through crowns and are quite expensive. How to optimize your use of the crown shop, you can find out from us at MeinMMO.
So, it may be advisable to place them in your guild house. Then everyone in the guild benefits, and you can share costs.
Additionally, you should take advantage of sales offers that are regularly available. If you are not in a hurry, you can purchase the items with crowns for the ESO+ membership. Or, if you have enough gold, buy from other players and have them gifted to you.
1. Merchant and Banker
What does it do? If you buy a banker or merchant, you can summon them to your side at any time. Emptying your inventory becomes possible for you and your companions without having to wade through a city.
Conveniently, you can place these companions in your house, so they are always there. Additionally, your home will then look really cozy. Who wouldn’t want a quirky dark elf standing in a surreal spot?
If you prefer something fluffy, you can go for an Alfiq, one of the many types of Khajiit. This way, you can make your houses look lively, according to your taste.
Where do you get it? You can buy the merchants Fezez or Nuzhimeh as well as the bankers Ezabi and Tythis in the crown shop. You will need to pay 5000 crowns, which is about 32 €. You can find the items under Upgrades, Assistants.
2. Mundus Stones
What does it do? Interacting with Mundus stones grants you a permanent buff in ESO. There are a total of 13 pieces scattered throughout the world.
For example, you can switch from Magicka regeneration to spell damage, or gain more health for grinding in ESO. And you can do this right in your house without needing to travel around the world.
Where do you get it? You can purchase the Mundus stones for 4000 crowns, which is about 26 € each, in the crown shop. You need to select the crown symbol in your housing editor. If you really want all of them, it costs a lot of ash. Therefore, it’s best to limit yourself to the most important ones or organize it together with your guild.
3. Transmutation Station
What does it do? Firstly, a transmutation station looks incredibly good. Secondly, you can use it to transmute your equipment, as the name suggests. This way, you can add further skills to your gear.
Where do you get it? You can find the item in the crown shop under furnishing, special for 4500 crowns, which is about 29 €. However, you can also acquire it in-game. For that, you need 1250 writ vouchers and can then buy the transmutation station from Rolis Hlaalu. This NPC is located in Eldenroot, Wayrest, or Windhelm.
4. Crafting Stations
What does it do? You can also place crafting tables in your house, so you have all important professions in one place. Included are alchemy tables, workbenches, or outfit stations for the style of your character.
Where do you get it? You can get the workbenches from Rolis Hlaalu in Eldenroot, Wayrest, or Windhelm for writ vouchers or from guild stores. Just keep an eye out for them when you have some gold left over.
5. Vampire Gadgets
What does it do? For the vampires among you, there is something new. With the last update came a dummy and a fountain for vampire players to ESO. At the “Soulbound Servant,” you can indulge to quench your thirst and level up in vampirism.
At the “Pool of Loss,” you can break them down again when you have had enough of your disadvantages or need a change of scenery on your face.
You can see what that looks like in the video from YouTube user Upper Echelon Mediocrity:
Where do you get it? The two items are part of the furnishing package “vampiric sacrifice.” It is available in the crown shop for 4000 crowns, which is about 26 €, under the special category.
6. Storage Chest
What does it do? As the name storage chest already suggests, it offers you additional storage space. However, the materials from it are not available at the workbench, like those from the bank.
Where do you get it? You can find the chests in the crown shop under storage. A chest with 60 slots costs 2000 crowns, which is about 14 €, a box with 30 slots costs 1000 crowns, approximately 9 €. However, you can also buy the chests from Rolis Hlaalu in Eldenroot, Wayrest, or Windhelm for writ vouchers or from Tel’Var traders.
7. Practice Dummies
What does it do? A practice dummy in your home not only looks impressive but can also serve you well. On such a dummy, you can test and practice your rotation and damage in various situations. You can invest an afternoon in your house and optimize your playstyle.
Where do you get it? You can buy a practice atronach, which is at the trial level, for 6000 crowns, which is about 38 €, under the special in the shop.
In-game, there are also plans and materials for crafting practice skeletons and sturdy practice skeletons for writ vouchers at Rolis Hlaalu in Eldenroot, Wayrest, or Windhelm.
8. Music Boxes
What does it do? Lastly, there is something for the atmosphere in your home. Admittedly, a music box is not necessarily useful, but it is a great addition to the mood in your house.
If the jingle annoys you after a while, you can set up new music boxes as you please.
Where do you get it? The music boxes are usually available for 800 or 1000 crowns, which is between 7 € and 9 €, in the shop under specials.
If you are now eager to check back into ESO to furnish a house, we at MeinMMO have some returning player tips in the guide.
