However, not many Pokémon are really suitable for this purpose. Here we present the 5 best attackers that can be used in almost any situation.
These 5 attackers always deal a lot of damage
Why do you need such attackers? You can use them ideally for arenas where the best defenders are not, but many Pokémon of different types are. There, these monsters always deal solid base damage.
For Team GO Rocket battles they are also recommended. If you don’t know which counters are good to use, the general attackers are also a good choice.
Important: Especially in raids, specific types are still better. Similarly, a Machoke is always better against a Snorlax than such a general attacker.
These attackers should always be used when you’re unsure about the effectiveness. Before entering the battle with the suggested team, these monsters are significantly better.
Here’s how the Pokémon are determined: We compared TDO with DPS. DPS indicates the damage per second while TDO is the damage a Pokémon deals until it is defeated. When you combine both, you get the best general attackers.
Mewtwo
In first place is Mewtwo. The legendary Pokémon has an attack value of 300 and also has incredibly good attacks. Another important factor is its durability. It has solid defense and HP values, and lasts a long time in battle.
Especially with the attack Psycho Boost, Mewtwo has received a significant improvement. The optimal moveset is therefore Confusion and Psycho Boost. But even with Psychic, Mewtwo is only slightly weaker.
Regigigas
Not long in the game and still a strong attacker: Regigigas ranks second among general attackers due to its enormous attack value of 287.
Thanks to the attack Heavy Slam, it takes second place. The charge attack is strong, and the quick attack is irrelevant here. Only Heavy Slam is important.
Regigigas is also the prime example of a general attacker. It is of the Normal type, which is not effective against any Pokémon. However, its good stats and attacks make it very useful as an all-rounder.
Metagross
Metagross ranks third thanks to its excellent attack from the Community Day. Its attack value of 257 is good, but there are significantly better Pokémon. The attack is therefore the decisive factor here.
Meteor Mash could only be learned on Community Day and makes Metagross extremely powerful. It is the best attack a Pokémon can learn on Community Day.
Rayquaza
Rayquaza has a hefty attack value of 284 and also learns the best dragon attacks in the game. This combination places the legendary Pokémon in fourth place.
Rayquaza also has another advantage: Its dragon attacks are only not very effective against Steel type and otherwise deal at least neutral damage.
Another advantage of Rayquaza is its usability in raids. So you not only have a solid all-rounder, but also a very useful counter in many raids.
Palkia
Palkia has a strong attack value of 280 and is somewhat more durable in battle than Rayquaza. It only ranks fifth because it has weaker attacks than Rayquaza.
However, Palkia is by no means weak. It deals a lot of damage and when Draco Meteor is charged, it hits hard. Just like Rayquaza, Palkia is often a usable counter in raids.
