The rarest shotgun: Wishbringer
Why is the weapon so rare? Wishbringer is not only the rarest shotgun but also the rarest weapon in all of Destiny 2. Only 1,132 guardians possess this rarity.
Before you jump up in joy, it should be noted that we are talking about the version from Season 3. At that time, the shotgun was awarded as a reward from Lord Shaxx if you climbed to the top of the competitive playlist. Wishbringer came even after Redrix’ Claymore.
Is the gun worth it? According to the ratings of the owners on Light.gg, Wishbringer is the ultimate weapon: 5/5 stars in PvE and PvP adorn the pump – here exclusivity plays a major role.
The weapon is not even close to as good as many of its peers. Even the (much more common) successor version with more perks has to clearly lose to current beasts like Felwinter’s Lie.

The rarest sniper rifle: The Domino Stone
Why is the weapon so rare? The sniper The Domino Stone comes from Season 2 and was a random reward from the loot pool of the Future War Cult.
In the early days of Destiny 2, three factions vied for the favor of the guardians. The Future War Cult was the unpopular choice, as the New Monarchy and Dead Orbit offered more interesting armor and weapons.
Is the gun worth it? A clear case of dust magnet – it was useless back then and still is today. Lakshmi-2, with this sniper rifle you didn’t do your faction any favors.
The rarest grenade launcher: Slingshot Trauma
Why is the weapon so rare? In Destiny, there are only a few grenade launchers that require special ammo, the rarest of which is Slingshot Trauma. The weapon was introduced in Season 4 and can only be obtained exclusively from the Nightfall “See of Shadows”.
Is the gun worth it? Slingshot Trauma is still quite usable today. For many, the grenade launcher was likely the means to earn the powerful top weapon of the Pinnacle – which is itself quite rare at 3.8%.
The rarest trace rifle: Divinity

Is the gun worth it? Definitely! Shortly after its introduction, the exotic was so powerful that it broke gameplay rules. But even now, the unique weapon with its debuff field is one of the best in endgame and enriches any team.
The rarest fusion rifle: Curse of Exile
Why is the weapon so rare? The fusion rifle Curse of Exile is one of the newest weapons in the game. It was introduced as a reward from the returned Trials of Osiris in Season 10 of Destiny 2.
There are two reasons for its rarity: On one hand, the mode is only for the hardest guardians; on the other hand, you have limited influence over the loot – which led to a lot of criticism of the Trials.
Is the gun worth it? Even though the slowly firing fusion rifles like Curse of Exile were nerfed at the start of Season 10, the weapon comes with good perks. Unfortunately, it is still just average at the moment.
