A really fancy rocket is currently available in World of Warcraft. But be careful: You only have a few days to get it.
When it comes to particularly fancy prestige items in World of Warcraft, they are usually mounts. Many of them can only be earned with a lot of effort or luck – or simply by being in the right place at the right time. A new rocket, which is now in the game, can only be earned for a few days. We will tell you how it works.
What mount is this? We are talking about the Lunar Launcher, which you can earn during the Lunar Festival. This mount is a large rocket with a dragon disguise. A representation that you especially know from the Asian area or in WoW from Pandaria.
The mount was newly added for the Lunar Festival 2025.
How do you get the mount? If you want to secure the lunar rocket, you now have 2 weeks to buy it from the vendors in the various cities. However, the price is 75 Ancestor Coins – a special currency that you can only earn during the Lunar Festival.
You will receive the coins when you visit the different Ancestors in World of Warcraft. In nearly every area of the game, there is an Ancestor during the Lunar Festival that you can honor – you just need to talk to them.
The task is simple: fly around the entire world, talk to the Ancestors, and collect the coins along the way. This is particularly convenient if you use an addon like “CandyBuckets” (via curse), which shows you all the Ancestors on the world map.
Although the task is a bit monotonous and takes about two hours, you can easily get other things done at the same time – like watching a series.
Until when do you have time? As every year, the Lunar Festival is only active for 2 weeks. So you have time from today (28th January 2025) until 10th February 2025 to earn the required amount of tokens and pick up the new rocket from one of the many Lunar Festival merchants.
