Currently, new episodes of the anime Dragon Ball Daima air weekly. In the second episode, Shenlong introduces a new rule regarding wishes after gathering all seven balls.
What is this rule? Shenlong is the dragon that appears when all 7 Dragon Balls have been gathered. He grants one wish to a person. After Dende became the new God of Earth, Shenlong can grant even three wishes. The dragon is only as powerful as its creator.
However, in Episode 2 of Dragon Ball Daima, he revealed that the 3 wishes are tied to a condition. Demon King Gomah wished for Son-Goku and his friends to become children. He was unable to fulfill his other two wishes at all.
Because: Shenlong only grants the three wishes to his “regular customers.” People he sees for the very first time are allowed to express only one wish, just like before. The dragon can choose whom to grant how many wishes.

Shenlong’s wishes have strict rules
What must wishers be aware of? This is not the only rule that Shenlong has established over time. If someone manages to gather all 7 Dragon Balls, they must adhere to several things:
- A person that he has previously resurrected cannot be brought back to life.
- If he is to resurrect a high number of people, Shenlong immediately subtracts 2 wishes.
- If a person is to be resurrected, they must have died within the last year and not from natural causes. That’s why Son-Goku could never bring back his grandfather.
- Shenlong cannot kill a person, as he was created with white magic.
- He cannot create true love.
However, there are other Dragon Balls that are not bound by the same limitations as Shenlong. Presumably, the 3 Dragon Balls from the demon realm will play a significant role in the future of Dragon Ball Daima.
After the wishes are fulfilled, the Dragon Balls on Earth turn to stone and are scattered in all directions. Therefore, it may be that we will not see Shenlong again in Dragon Ball Daima and instead, another dragon will make its grand appearance.
However, Shenlong is the very first dragon that Son-Goku encounters on his journey. The wish-granting dragon was planned from the beginning for the manga. Even in the prototype Dragon Boy, Shenlong appears: Before Dragon Ball, the manga was called Dragon Boy – Here’s how Son-Goku and Bulma looked in the first prototype
