The former MMA fighter and football player Brock Lesnar is one of the absolute superstars of WWE. Nevertheless, the giant will likely no longer be seen on the cover of the upcoming wrestling game WWE 2K24.
What is the current situation at WWE? In January 2024, serious allegations were made against the then-head of WWE, Vince McMahon. Former employee Janel Grant accused him of sexual misconduct. McMahon is also said to have attempted to arrange sexual encounters between her and WWE officials and wrestlers. McMahon resigned after the allegations became public.
The lawsuit also mentions a “former UFC champion” whose name is not disclosed. Reports suggest this refers to wrestling superstar Brock Lesnar. There has been no official confirmation yet.
However, attentive fans have now noticed that Lesnar is no longer featured on the cover of the “40 Years of Wrestlemania” edition of the upcoming wrestling game 2K24 in the latest gameplay trailer that was released on February 6, 2024. Instead, John Cena has taken his place, and Triple H and Shawn Michaels have also been moved around to fill the gap.

What kind of game is it anyway? WWE 2K24 is the upcoming 24th edition of the well-known wrestling game. The standard edition is set to be released on March 8, 2024, prominently featuring wrestler Cody Rhodes on the cover.
The special “40 Years of Wrestlemania” edition, on the other hand, showcases a collection of some of the biggest WWE stars. It is set to be released on March 5, 2024. All editions will be available for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
What does this mean for the wrestler? It is still unclear whether the change on the cover means that Brock Lesnar will be entirely removed from the game. The digital likeness of the wrestler was previously removed from the mobile game “WWE Supercard.”
The last ring appearance of the wrestler is also a bit farther back now. Lesnar is generally considered one of the absolute superstars of WWE. The 130-kilogram MMA fighter broke the legendary Wrestlemania streak of the infamous Undertaker and is a 10-time world champion.
At the moment, however, everything suggests that he will not step back into the ring anytime soon.
