Even before other guilds could defeat World of Warcraft Jaina, Method repeated the kill simply, showing that it wasn’t just luck.
The race for the First Kill of Lady Jaina Proudmoore was one of the highlights of the last weeks in World of Warcraft. After an exciting race, the European guild Method clinched the win and secured the “World First Kill” on the Mythic Jaina Proudmoore, the final boss of the Battle of Dazar’alor.
Other competitors, like the US guild Limit or the Russian team Exorsus, were not able to secure the kill in a timely manner.
Humiliation with a promise: Shortly after the “World First Kill”, Method was already asked in an interview what their next goals would be. More in jest, they replied that they now wanted to go for “the World Second” – meaning the second Jaina kill. This not only garnered laughter but also criticism, as it seemed somewhat disrespectful to underestimate the other guilds.
But Method turned their slightly arrogant words into actions. They also secured the “World Second Kill” on Jaina. This received admiration on social media.
Limit has the “World Second”: Meanwhile, the guild Limit has also defeated Jaina Proudmoore and thus managed to secure the First Kill in America. Other guilds will likely follow in the coming days, as the players’ gear becomes better with each week. Nevertheless, the First Kill for Limit will probably feel unsatisfactory after Method has beaten them twice.
Or to put it in the cynical comment of some people on Twitter:
“GG to Limit for coming third in a two-man race.”
