In Call of Duty: Warzone 2 a handful of glitches and bugs are currently causing trouble. The developers have intervened and nerfed a glitch in the DMZ mode, making it unattractive for players. However, a new exploit affects the Warzone and it is seriously bad.
What is this exploit? A glitch has allowed some players to increase the durability of their gas masks in the Warzone. This enables them to stay in the danger zone for as long as they want – the gas does not harm them.
Players using this exploit can hide anywhere within the gas cloud. Their gas mask lasts for several minutes, and the gas eventually takes out all other players. Therefore, players exploiting this can win without any effort.
Is the exploit new? No, this exploit is actually an old acquaintance. There was a similar bug in the first Warzone of Call of Duty (2019). At that time, the developers had to intervene several times until they got the issue under control. However, this is the first time this bug has also appeared in Warzone 2. Apparently, players have been able to replicate this exploit in both solo and team play.
How often do these glitches occur? In recent days, reports of glitches and exploits in Warzone 2 have increased. There have been missions that rewarded players with way too many experience points. Other players managed to generate large amounts of cash in the DMZ mode.
We have already reported on an exploit that granted players enormous amounts of experience points: Popular XP glitch was nerfed, but players find a new way to level up quickly.
We won’t specify exactly how the exploit works. If players use this, there is always a risk that it could result in an account penalty. You could even be banned.
Bugs and Issues at Launch
How is Infinity Ward responding? The gas mask glitch is extremely harmful to the Warzone. If a player in your match uses this exploit, you are practically powerless and cannot win the round legitimately. This is a real problem for the Warzone, and therefore fixing the exploit should be at the top of Activision’s agenda.
Many players are currently dissatisfied with the update policy of Call of Duty. They criticize the developers’ communication. Often, changes are made to the battle royale without the developers informing anyone.
What do players criticize? There are some heated discussions in the community about whether the makers of CoD are setting the right priorities.
Apparently, only those bugs that ensure players spend less time in the weapon grind are being removed. Dev errors, other crashes, and the gas mask glitch, however, are well known to the developers, yet it takes too long for them to be fixed.
What experiences have you had? Have you already fallen victim to the gas mask glitch or another gamebreaking exploit? Feel free to share it with us in the comments.
Despite all the excitement about this topic, there are also moments that bring the community to laughter: Millions celebrate the “Backstreet Boys” in Warzone 2 – Even Call of Duty responds: “Sounds identical”
