A new Easter egg has now been discovered in The Witcher 3 after nine years. The reason why this remained secret for so long is quite simple. You have to put in some effort to find it.
What Easter egg has been discovered now? The world of The Witcher 3 offers an incredible amount to do and discover. Among them are always a lot of Easter eggs full of references to movies, series, literature, and other video games. A number of them have been gathered for you by our colleagues from GamePro.
By now, the role-playing game has been released for 9 years, and one would think that players have already found all the Easter eggs. However, YouTuber xLetalis proved the opposite in a video.
In an underground tunnel beneath Novigrad, one of his viewers found a wall drawing. It shows a soldier pointing with his finger. Below it stands the text “CDPR NEED YOU!” and is thus a reference to a famous recruitment poster and the abbreviation of the development studio behind The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.

Why has this Easter egg remained secret for so long? This Easter egg is not easy to find in the world of The Witcher 3. In his video (via YouTube), xLetalis demonstrates that you can’t even see it with the free camera movement, as it never hits the right angle.
Instead, a generally annoying glitch is needed to get Geralt to the spot from where you can see the image. You need to reach and walk through the small tunnel under Novigrad with Geralt.
What kind of glitch is that? In his video, the YouTuber tries to explain which glitch his viewer supposedly exploited to find the secret Easter egg. However, he himself has not been able to exploit this glitch so far.
His viewer allegedly ran into the wall full of bookshelves in the bathhouse office and simply glitched through the wall. This teleported him directly beneath the city and right across from the mural.
xLetalis himself tried to recreate this situation but was unsuccessful. Instead, he went to the appropriate spot above the tunnel and used the “phase” console command to glitch specifically through the walls, as he shows in his video.
Thus, he entered the underground tunnel and was able to confirm the new Easter egg.
What does this mean now? Whether the developers simply included this Easter egg for fun back then or whether there is a real meaning behind the mural, only they probably know. Perhaps it was even a serious call to apply for a position in the studio.
After all, if you found this picture here, then you have proven yourself worthy to try your luck at CDPR. This question is also raised by the YouTuber in his video. After all, the studio has already hired modders for Cyberpunk 2077. So, this particular kind of job advertisement might actually be possible.
In other games, one is not safe from usually annoying glitches. In Palworld, however, a glitch has recently become the weakness for the bosses: Palworld: Player discovers a glitch that leaves bosses completely defenseless: “Must be fixed as soon as possible”
