The work on the unusual MMORPG Crowfall seems to be progressing. The developers at ArtCraft have now shown in a new video which systems will be added to the game with Milestone 5.7.
The developer studio ArtCraft continues to work tirelessly on the new MMO hope Crowfall. A new video now showcases the upcoming features that will be implemented with Milestone 5.7.
With the new day-night cycle, the threat of hunger becomes particularly noticeable. In addition, there are two new races, Stoneborn and Half-Giant.
Milestone 5.7 brings Hunger
The update reveals hunger: In the new video about Crowfall, a day-night cycle is shown, through which the threat in the game’s campaign, an evil force known as “Hunger”, is supposed to become truly noticeable for the first time. While during the day there is vain sunshine and players stumble over normal animals in the game world, this changes dramatically when the sun goes down.
Animals like wolves, moose, and hellcats transform at night due to the influence of hunger into bloodthirsty beasts that are not only harder to defeat but also much more aggressive.
Hunger comes at night: As soon as the sun goes down, hunger crystals grow from the ground, transforming the game world into a winter landscape. It is up to the players to destroy these crystals; otherwise, the world’s important resources will remain frozen.

Campaigns receive seasons: The game worlds will also acquire seasons, each with its own buffs or debuffs, with Milestone 5.7. For example, in summer there will be longer days and more collectible resources, while winter is the exact opposite.
Further new features, such as the two new races Stoneborn and Half-Giant, can be seen in the following video:

Investment in Crowfall continued after Kickstarter – 20 million USD
Crowfall earns over 20 million USD: ArtCraft Entertainment financed Crowfall in March 2015 with 1.7 million USD from nearly 17,000 backers. Meanwhile, with the help of backers, investors, and partners, they have raised 20 million USD that will go into the development of the game.
Recently, the studio announced that they were able to sell the license for the MMO engine behind Crowfall to a large MMORPG studio, which brought in considerable funds. Additionally, distribution in Russia is secured, as they have found a strong partner there. This has also added more funds to the war chest.
