This week in Destiny 2, you can continue the exotic quest from the mission “Zero Hour”. We explain how to solve the second step “Arc Configuration” and what rewards you can earn.
About this quest: Since May 7, numerous Guardians have been hunting the new exotic weapon Perfected Outbreak and its exotic masterwork catalyst. The weapon itself and the catalyst can only be obtained through the mission “Zero Hour” after completing a specific quest line. Additionally, the catalyst can only be leveled through this mission in parts.
But there’s more to be gained there. In the heroic version of “Zero Hour,” the Guardians stumbled upon another exotic quest. This quest consists of three parts and apparently leads to a new exotic ship in the end. Furthermore, valuable additional percent can be obtained for catalyst progress.
After last week’s step “Null Configuration”, we now continue with the “Arc Configuration.” Here’s how the second quest step goes.

The Arc Configuration – How to solve the riddle in the vault
What do you need to do this week for the Arc Configuration? Compared to the first quest step “Null Configuration” from last week, not much has changed. Until you reach the ignitable plates in front of the vault, basically everything is the same – including the path.
For the Arc Configuration, you need to find three different keycards and collect 49x SIVA particles in the heroic version of “Zero Hour” – all in one go. If you fail or abort the mission, you have to start over.
You can find out how to fight your way to the vault, what path to take, and where to find the individual keycards in this guide: Fans crack the mega riddle – here’s how to complete the Null Configuration
Then you can continue with this guide here.
This is what has changed in the Arc Configuration
The pressure plates in front of the vault room: In front of the vault room, you will find ignitable floor plates that must be walked over in a specific pattern. This week, you should walk over them in this order:
The sequences at the terminals and consoles: Once you have overcome the pressure plates, you will enter the vault room, where the actual Arc riddle needs to be solved. The procedure itself is exactly the same as last week. Only the sequences to be entered are different for the Arc Configuration.
How to crack the Arc Configuration
Although a large part of this riddle phase remains the same, we have explained it here in detail due to its complexity, so you don’t have to switch between multiple articles.
What you need to do now: The vault room remains unchanged. There are three terminals in the main room and seven side rooms, each with seven consoles. One player continuously operates Terminal 1, a second handles Terminal 2, and the third takes on the role of the runner and activates the consoles.

What is important for you are Terminals 1 and 2. Terminal 3 can be ignored.
How to read correctly: Player 1 activates Terminal 1. On display: two blue circles, each with 12 segments. Each circle has a specific segment highlighted in color.

To make the riddle easier, fans have numbered the segments as shown in the image. The yellow segments and their numbers are what is important.
The seven side rooms are color-coded and each contains seven consoles. All side rooms are structured based on this pattern, and all consoles are numbered as shown in the image:

The solution: Player 1 reads the numbers of the highlighted segments from left to right. This number pair is now to be compared in this table. Note: The sequences are now different from those in the Null Configuration the previous week.
Now look up this number combination in the table (Column Terminal 1). Then, slide all the way to the left to Column Siva Terminal in that row. That way, you can identify which room the runner must go to (color) and which console he has to activate (number).
Once the runner has activated the corresponding console, the player at Terminal 1 can continue his task and read the next number pair. This process repeats 49 times.
You don’t have to finish the mission, by the way. So don’t worry if the mission timer keeps running. Additionally, every successful activation of a console grants extra time.
What do you need Terminal 2 for? Occasionally, it may happen that a number combination from Terminal 1 appears multiple times in the table, leading you to different rooms (as shown in the image).

In this case, the player at Terminal 2 reads his numbers and compares them with the Column Terminal 2 behind the previously encountered number combination from Terminal 1. If the numbers for Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 match in that row, then slide all the way to the left and you will know exactly which room and which console the runner needs to go to.

This is the reward: Once you have mastered the riddle, the Ark Configuration will now also be checked off in the repair blueprint. This means you are one step closer to the exotic ship and will likely only need to complete the Solar Configuration next week.
On top of that, you will receive 67x SIVA particles and an additional 13% for the progress of the Perfected Outbreak’s masterwork catalyst. This way, you can already reach a total of 67% this week and have the chance to fully level up the catalyst next week.
