The MMORPG Ultimo Reino was released only in February, but part 2 is coming in just a few days.
What is Ultimo Reino? The indie MMORPG was released on February 20, 2020, on Steam and provided a rather classic gaming experience. You create a hero from the classes Warrior, Wizard, and Tank and explore a fantasy world divided into several zones. There, you fight monsters and gather resources to craft better equipment.
Through metamorphosis, it is possible to transform into any creature of the game world. Additionally, you can tame animals and use them as mounts as well as trade with other players.

What has been announced now? The Free2Play MMORPG Ultimo Reino gets a sequel on April 13. So not even two months after the launch of the first part, the sequel is already coming. Visually, however, you should not expect a highlight, as the trailer already shows.
What does the sequel offer? Unlike its predecessor, you will now explore an open world, and based on skills, you can create your own class according to your preferences. The combat system will be revamped. You now need to aim actively and dodge. Ultimo Reino 2 will be released as a Buy2Play game on Steam. There will be no microtransactions.
Why is a sequel already coming? There is no official explanation. However, some players felt that Ultimo Reino seemed unfinished. It only offered the basic elements of an MMORPG. Apparently, the developer wanted to try again and do some things differently, including introducing an open world to allow as many players as possible to find and interact with each other.
What do the players say? Opinions on the first part are quite mixed:
- denzellSRB writes on Steam: “Unfinished game, poor graphics and controls…”
- dwarfmanlove, on the other hand, states on Steam: “I had hesitated to play this game but ultimately had a fantastic time. It’s just fun to defeat two opponents at once while on horseback.”
What will happen to the predecessor? Ultimo Reino 1 will no longer be developed. The servers are closed and the focus is now on the sequel.
