From October 18 to 24, fans could play two fairly new MMORPGs with New World and Elyon. However, both faced issues this week. We at MeinMMO summarize all important news for you.
The highlights of the week:
- New World has released the new patch 1.0.3. This was supposed to finally activate the server transfers. However, this coincided with a gold exploit, so the service was quickly disabled again. Additionally, players are complaining about an economic crisis in the MMO.
- Elyon, on the other hand, was supposed to appeal primarily to steampunk, Asia, and PvP fans. The new game launched with over 14,500 concurrent players at peak, but the Steam reviews are not good.
The controversy of the week: Blizzard CEO Mike Ybarra is a gifted WoW player. However, he is facing criticism for selling raids to other players with his guild.

New elite specializations in GW2, trouble in LOTRO
This week’s events in the major MMORPGs:
- The new WoW patch 9.1.5 is on the verge of release. It is now considered a “Release Candidate” and could be released soon. However, there were discussions this week about the new option to level a twink with Torghast. But that doesn’t seem worth it at all.

- After many new infos about Endwalker were shared last week, it was rather quiet this week regarding FFXIV. However, we wrote about a modder who plays the MMORPG with a Ring Fit Controller.
- Guild Wars 2 has presented the last 3 new elite specializations in smaller videos. You can even try them live in-game from October 26 to 30 (via GuildWars2).
- Black Desert has revised the battles for outposts in a new update (via BlackDesert).

- The Lord of the Rings Online has revamped the legendaries, but that has caused a lot of criticism.
- Bless Unleashed has announced the exact contents for the upcoming patch on October 28 (via Steam). Included are 6 new dungeons, new equipment, and the first PvP season.
- Blade and Soul has announced new story content for November (via BladeandSoul).
- In the MMORPGs RIFT and ArcheAge, the respective Halloween events have started.
- Old School RuneScape has postponed the release of the Shattered Relics League to 2022 (via MassivelyOP).
