Ubisoft plans three DLCs for the upcoming Far Cry 5 (PC, PS4, and Xbox One), each telling its own story and included in the Season Pass. After the release, players will deal with zombies, the Viet Cong, and a Martian spider invasion.
With the release of Far Cry 5 on March 27 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Ubisoft appears to be following in the footsteps of the outrageous Far Cry: Blood Dragon. It has now been announced that the game, which revolves around religious fanatics and loyal dogs, will receive three quirky DLCs after release.
Vietnam, Mars, and Zombies
The DLCs are part of the Season Pass and each tell a self-contained, separate story.
- In “Hours of Darkness“, the player is transported to the past to fight the Viet Cong in Vietnam and rescue his friends.
- In “Lost on Mars”, the red planet has an alien insect problem that the protagonist must solve before embarking on the long journey home.
- The third DLC “Dead Living Zombies” is a coop adventure featuring seven B-movie scenarios filled with zombies.
The Season Pass also includes the Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, which buyers will receive four weeks before its sales start in summer 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC players will get the full version of Far Cry 3.

All players of Far Cry 5 will also gain access to the Far Cry Arcade, a powerful map editor that will be regularly expanded. This will not only include items from the game but also from other Ubisoft titles, such as Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and Watch Dogs.
The editor will allow for adjustments not only to terrain, structures, or vegetation but also enable changes to the time of day or weather conditions, as well as the use of 3D backgrounds and FX color filters.
Furthermore, players can create their own maps for the multiplayer modes Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch.
Additionally, there will be live events at regular intervals where players can earn exclusive outfits, weapons, or vehicles.
There will also be additional cosmetic content available in an in-game shop for Far Cry 5
