How did Asmongold come to that conclusion? In his subreddit, he discovered a post about the currently trending female streamers.
What was that post about? The post displayed two charts from the analysis site Streams Charts. The first chart showed the most-watched female Twitch and YouTube streamers by watch time for the period from January 1 to March 31, 2023.
The second chart featured the most popular female streamers on YouTube Gaming based on peak viewership.
The surprising thing is: Both lists are dominated by Vtubers: female streamers who do not appear with a webcam but with an avatar that reflects their facial expressions and movements. They usually take the form of anime girls.

How did Asmongold react? For him, it was clear: If even Amouranth only lands in a disappointing fourth place, then the era of real women is over; Vtubers have seized power:

Her Hololive colleague Towa ranks second among female streamers in YouTube Gaming. She primarily plays shooters like Apex Legends. The third-placed Subaru features various games from Undertale to Tales of Symphonia to Minecraft.
Alongside Amouranth, the Mexican streamer Samantha “Rivers_gg” Rivera and Valorant streamer Alicia “Kyedae” Shymko hold the front for “real women”.
