The German streamer Theo “Scurrows” Bottländer is one of the “Bad Boys” of the German streaming scene. Since Twitch introduced new regulations for streaming gambling, he is showcasing his casino content on the new streaming platform Kick and teasing on Twitter. Accordingly, the sympathy is minimal when he reports on his missing PC parts there.
What happened to Scurrows’ PC? As the streamer stated on Twitter, he ordered a new PC for several thousand euros – a comment mentions €7,500. However, after three months of waiting, he only received an empty case.
Scurrows claims that employees of the package service simply dismantled the interior of the new PC and even damaged the case in the process. He shared a picture of the case, and we have embedded the tweet here:
Streamer complains about theft, is mocked
What are the reactions like? On Twitter, the post quickly gathered more than 100 comments. However, many users are not siding with the streamer. One Twitter user writes: “I would say karma,” while others echo similar sentiments (via Twitter).
The majority seems to agree: the right person got what they deserved, and the streamer got what he deserved. Some even go so far as to praise the employees of the package service (via Twitter).
Where do the negative reactions come from? Scurrows became known on Twitch for roleplaying in GTA 5. However, in 2022, he started primarily showing the gambling category “Slots” and made a deal with the controversial casino site “Stake” (via sullygnome).
The casino content has brought the streamer into the sights of gambling critics, including the Berlin content creator Kilian “Tanzverbot” Heinrich. The dispute between the streamers ultimately culminated in violent incidents at Gamescom.
Since new regulations on showing gambling took effect on Twitch in October 2022 and casino streamers had to give up a large part of their viewers, Scurrows has also caused increased trouble on Twitter:
Apparently, the loss of the expensive PC parts is now seen by commenters as a kind of punishment for the streamer’s actions.
What does Scurrows say about it? The streamer remains calm in light of the mocking comments. The fault lies with the package service, which must compensate him for the damage (via Twitter).
However, some Twitter users doubt the credibility of the Twitch streamer. After all, it would be quite a bold theft should his version be true. Yet, cases of damaged packages or missing contents do occur from time to time.
In cases like this, recipients have 7 days to file a damage report with DHL. You can read more about it here:
