Solo Leveling Arise was released a few days ago and is dominating shops in many places. The developer is very satisfied.
One of the big anime of the last seasons was the series Solo Leveling. Although the adaptation of the source material only covered the first chapters, it provided a solid entry into the world of Solo Leveling. While fans are waiting for the second season, the developer Netmarble has now released a mobile game based on the series: Solo Leveling Arise.
The game has climbed to the top spot in the app stores of nearly 80 countries within a few days.
How successful is the game? Solo Leveling Arise has apparently been eagerly anticipated. Netmarble stated that the game has reached the number 1 spot in the Apple App Store in a total of 79 countries. Additionally, within a few days, it also achieved 10 million downloads in the Google Play Store. That’s a large number of potential players who are at least giving Solo Leveling Arise a chance.
What is Solo Leveling Arise about? Basically, in Solo Leveling Arise, you play through the story that also started in the anime. In a world where people are equipped with special powers to push back enemies emerging from portals, you start as the “weakest hunter” who undergoes a strong transformation after a devastating event. You gather allies, improve your skills and equipment, and do all the things that are characteristic of a solid RPG – but in the visually appealing anime style of the series.
Is there Pay2Win? Like many other mobile games, especially in the anime sector, Solo Leveling Arise relies on various gacha mechanics, into which you can invest a lot of money to obtain the best hunters. Therefore, one should approach the game with caution if one knows they are susceptible to such mechanics. Because if one wants, they can invest hundreds or thousands of euros into the game – just like in almost all other gacha games out there.
However, for those who are prepared, Solo Leveling Arise offers a solid mobile game adaptation that should entertain well for a few hours at least. The game’s success definitely seems to confirm that. If you want more exciting anime hits from 2024, we have all the major anime releases from 2024.
Whether Solo Leveling Arise will have long-term success or lose a large part of its players after a few weeks – as is often the case with gacha games – will only be shown by the future.
Have you ever checked out Solo Leveling Arise? Or can you not relate to such games at all?
