The devCAT studio from Korea is working on a new title. After the action MMO Vindictus, there will be a MOBA with mechs: Ascendant One!
News from the Vindictus makers: The development studio devCAT is part of Nexon and is based in Korea. The developers were mainly known for the action MMO Vindictus. It featured particularly epic battles that resembled Dark Souls more than a traditional online game.
Now the Vindictus makers want to develop something new: The mech-MOBA Ascendant One!
Early access launch still in 2018?
What is Ascendant One about? So far, devCAT has only released the embedded teaser. In it, you see only a strange planet where various mechs are milling about. And then some things explode.
5vs5 action: According to further information, it is supposed to be a 5vs5 format. And then devCAT is likely planning various early access phases. The first of these is expected to start in the second half of 2018. Koreans can already sign up with their phone number.
So we might learn more about Ascendant One soon and why devCAT is counting on a MOBA game in 2018.
