Kylian Mbappé is, together with Adama Traore, the fastest player in FIFA 19. However, the speed difference is not that significant: The slowest player in the game, Aaron Hughes, can almost keep up with the PSG sprinter.
Kylian Mbappé is a top player in FIFA 19: Mbappé, with a pace rating of 96, is not only among the fastest players in FIFA 19, but his other stats look great as well: The overall rating of 87 makes him one of the best attackers in the game.
At only 19 years old, the world champion is also one of the biggest talents in this year’s career mode.
Aaron Hughes, on the other hand, is a rather unknown player. The 38-year-old center-back plays in the Scottish Premiership for Heart of Midlothian FC. With an overall rating of 65, you are unlikely to encounter him in many FUT matches. And although Hughes has even gained a pace point compared to last year, it remains clear: With a pace of 24, he is still the slowest player in FIFA 19.
Speed Test Almost Equal
Pace is not that important anymore: Nevertheless, the Scottish defender does not fall too far behind in the race against Kylian Mbappé.
It has already been noticed that EA Sports has reduced the pace for many players. Generally, the differences in pace ratings no longer seem to significantly impact gameplay. And a FIFA fan demonstrates this in a video.
The Twitter user @RobTGF_ had the two different players race against each other. It becomes clear: The difference is not as great as expected. You can watch the race in the following video.
From the penalty area, both players run across the entire field:
- Mbappé takes 11.454 seconds
- Hughes takes 13.177 seconds
Converted, Mbappé runs at a speed of 14.64 miles per hour, and Hughes at 12.73 miles per hour. The difference between the fastest and the slowest player in FIFA 19 is not that large – despite the 72-point gap in pace.

Difference Between Real World and FIFA 19 World
How realistic is the pace? It is noticeable: In a race across the entire field, with the ball at their feet, Aaron Hughes can almost keep up with the fastest player in FIFA 19. Mbappé only gains 1.7 seconds over the entire field.
It should be noted that a FIFA game, despite all authenticity, plays differently than a match in real life: The halves are shorter, the pace on the field and the speeds of the players must therefore be adjusted. Because in a real game, Mbappé would likely pull away from the Scottish defender more noticeably.
