The specializations of The Division 2 have their own skill trees with various active and passive bonuses. We summarize their advantages and different bonuses for you.
These are the specializations: Once you reach level 30, the 3 specializations will be unlocked. You can freely switch between them. There is the
- Sharpshooter
- Survival Specialist
- and Demolition Expert
Moreover, each of the 3 has its own skill tree that you can gradually unlock.
What are the specializations good for? On the one hand, they serve to allow players to further optimize their own playstyle. On the other hand, they provide you with powerful tools that will be useful in the endgame.
How can I unlock the bonuses of the skill tree? So far, there is no detailed information on this. However, a screenshot suggests that one must collect special points, which can then be invested in the bonuses.

Some of the skills have multiple ranks. The numbers we provide here correspond to the highest ranks of the respective perks.
Now we will show you all the advantages and skills of the 3 specializations that are currently known. Keep in mind that not all information has been published yet. The German terms, for example, are still missing, and some effects of skill mods are still unknown.
This is the Demolition Expert
The Demolition Expert is entirely focused on explosions. For this, he receives a grenade launcher as an individual weapon. Accordingly, he gains bonuses on explosive damage.
In addition to the grenade launcher, he receives further bonuses on submachine guns and LMGs. Whether you attack from safe cover or from the front is up to you.

The passive buffs
- Incombustible: Your burn resistance is increased by +20 percent
- Demolitionist Tactical Link: Enemies behind cover suffer +5% more damage from your group
- Explosive Ordnance: Explosive damage is increased by up to +25%. This applies to explosive grenades, skills, and effects
- Vital Protection: You will be hit by critical hits up to +20% less often in combat
The skill mods
- Artillery: Your artillery gun now fires with explosive ammunition
- Cyclone Magazine: Increases the ammunition capacity of turrets
- SHD CPU V.2: Increases the damage of turrets
The benefits for your gear
- Spray and Pray: The damage of submachine guns is increased by up to +15%
- Onslaught: The damage of LMGs is increased by up to +15%
- Signature Weapon Damage: The damage of your individual weapon is increased by up to +145 percent
- Fragmentation: The fragmentation grenade deals damage and causes targets to bleed
- Diceros Special: 357 Magnum Revolver
- Gunslinger: The damage of pistols is increased by up to +10%

Additional extras
- Group Signature Ammo Supply: Multi-kills with explosive weapons have a chance to refill ammunition of the individual weapon for all group members
- Crisis Response: If your armor is destroyed, the ammunition of your main weapons is refilled
- X-Stat Armor Kit-Supplementary: Armor kits repair 70% of the armor initially. For this, they improve weapon handling by 100% for 15 seconds before the remaining 30% of the armor is repaired.
- Braced for Impact: You become immune to explosions once every 60 seconds.
- 40 mm Grenade Acquisition: Kills with explosive weapons provide ammunition for the individual weapon. Kills with the grenade launcher do not count here.
- Demolitionist Uniform: A uniform for the Demolition Expert
This is the Sharpshooter
The Sharpshooter is set up for combat from a distance with his individual weapon, a caliber .50 sniper rifle.
Additionally, he has a significant bonus on rifles and normal sniper rifles, as well as a useful drone that can scan enemies.

The passive buffs
- One In The Head: Up to +25% headshot damage
- Deft Hands: up to +30% reload speed
- Breath Control: Up to +30% weapon stability + reduced recoil
- My Home Is My Castle: Increases your armor while you are in cover
- Vital Protection: Reduces the chance of being critically hit by 20% – This only applies to Conflict, the PvP area
- Sharpshooter Tactical Link: Group members deal +10% headshot damage when they are closer to the enemy than you are
The skill mods
- Tactician: With this skill mod, you can place a special drone somewhere above the battlefield. As long as it is active, it scans all enemies in the vicinity.
- Graphene Battery: Unknown

The benefits for your gear
- Flashbang: The flashbang grenade is already known to many from the predecessor. However, this variant has a significantly greater range to blind your opponents.
- This Is My Rifle: Up to +15% rifle damage
- Sharpshooter 93R: Unlocks the three-round pistol
- Gunslinger: Gives you up to +10% damage with the secondary weapon
- Signature Weapon Damage: Your signature weapon inflicts up to +145% more damage
- Unnamed: Increases your sniper rifle damage by up to +15
- Digital Scope: A digital targeting device for long distances. What it is exactly is still unclear.

Additional extras
- Group Signature Ammo Supply: You have chances for ammunition for your individual weapon when you get kills with it. Your team members can also benefit from the bonus and receive ammunition for their individual weapons – even if they play other specializations themselves.
- X-Stat Armor Kit-Supplementary: Repair kits repair 50% less of your armor. However, they remove status effects and increase resistances to bleeding wounds, poison, and burns for 20 seconds.
- Round After Round: If you stay in cover for 20 seconds, your ammunition for rifles and precision rifles is replenished by 5 rounds every 10 seconds
- Marksman Uniform: A uniform for the marksman
- 50 Caliber Ammo Acquisition: Headshot kills that are not caused by your individual weapon provide ammunition

This is the Survival Specialist
The Survival Specialist has some healing skills and uses a crossbow with explosive bolts as his individual weapon. His armor kits, which he can also use to heal group members, are particularly strong.
The passive buffs
- Vital Protection: The chance that you will be hit by a crit hit in the fight is reduced by -20%.
- Crunch Time: When you are in cover, your cooldown is reduced by -10%.
- Survivalist Tactical Link: Group members deal up to +10% more damage against enemies with status effects
- Elite Defense: You receive up to +15% protection against elite enemies
- Triage Specialist: Gives you a healing bonus for your teammates of up to +15%
The skill mods
- Mender: Follows allies and repairs armor
- Magnetic Disc: Reduced cooldown for the seeker mine
- Larrea tridentata Infusion: Increases the healing of the seeker mine

The benefits for your gear
- Incendiary Grenade: The incendiary grenade ignites enemies in the radius
- Survivalist D50: .44 Magnum pistol with skin slot
- Gunslinger: Gives you up to +10% damage with the secondary weapon
- Signature Weapon Damage: Your signature weapon inflicts up to +145% more damage.
- Running The Gun: Shotgun damage is increased by up to +15%
- E.M.I: Assault rifle damage is increased by up to +15%
- Infantry 5.56 Mag: a special 5.56 magazine for assault rifles

Additional extras
- Distributed Repair: The healing effect of armor kits now runs over a period of 5 seconds instead of immediately repairing your armor. However, the effect is also transferred to your group within a radius of 10m
- Explosive Bolt Acquisition: If you kill enemies who are under a status effect, there is an increased chance for ammunition for your crossbow
- Group Signature Ammo Supply: If you kill enemies who are under a status effect, there is an increased chance for ammunition for the individual weapons of the entire group
- Scraping By: When switching from cover to cover, you receive all 5 ammunition per second
