What makes Witch Queen better?
In recent months, Bungie has changed a lot that will shape the future of the game. They have learned from the last expansion. Savathun will therefore be a new caliber of foes in Witch Queen, compared to Eramis in Beyond Light. Players will also be able to discover and use some new things.
- In addition to new equipment, a new weapon type is introduced: the glaive.
- Along with the champions, Savathun brings a new army: the “Radiant Brood”. She will use the Light as a super weapon, just like the players.
- All Light abilities will receive an overhaul, in Witch Queen, players will start with Void 3.0. Solar and Arc will follow by the end of the Witch Queen year.
- Bungie brings more gunplay. Good weapons will become more important. Players can forge their own Godrolls.
- It will be dark and mysterious, as the new Throne World offers not only a new location but also the “Deep Sight Resonance” ability.
- New puzzles and secrets will be revealed. In Witch Queen, players will discover what Savathun has meticulously planned for the last 7 years.
- Every three months there will be a new raid or a new dungeon.

Bungie itself has called the expansion Witch Queen the optimal time to start into Destiny 2. Because now, the actual story of the game is picking up speed. After Witch Queen, players can expect two more expansions: Lightfall and The Final Shape.
