Next month, the action RPG Visions of Mana will be released. You can already test a free demo that lets you experience some of the game.
Visions of Mana is a new action RPG from Square Enix and Ouka Studios, set to be released on August 29, 2024, for PC (via Steam), PS4/PS5, and Xbox Series. It will be the latest installment in a game series that began in 1991.
In this country, the game that started the Mana series is known as Mystic Quest. However, the direct sequel is certainly much more famous here. Secret of Mana made waves on the Super Nintendo starting in 1993.
The last proper installment of the series was released in 2006. Fans had to wait almost 20 years for a new installment and since then could only enjoy remakes or mobile spin-offs for phones or Nintendo handhelds.
If you haven’t heard of this series before, you can get an impression of what to expect in Visions of Mana with this trailer:
What does the demo offer? Starting now, you can play the free demo, which not only allows you to take a peek at the story, but also promises battles and exploration.
In the demo, you can experience the first chapter of the story. You will start in Rime Falls and will be able to explore various areas. You should also be able to face the boss of the chapter at the end of the demo to get a first impression of the more challenging battles in the game.
To get the most out of the demo experience, you will also be able to team up with other group members Val, Creena, and Morley. So, you will get to know a few more characters than just the protagonist.
Additionally, you will be able to experiment with two different classes during the demo and should be able to transfer your demo save to the full game later. Among other things, you will unlock three weapons for Val during chapter 1, which you can then directly transfer.
