The Museum of the Occult Needs a Curator
In the latest developer livestream from the creators of The Secret World, “The Streaming Ones”, extensive discussions were held about upcoming features that are set to enrich the game. The most significant innovation will be that players will receive “almost” their own housing system; at least, they will be able to influence the appearance of certain areas.
As part of a new quest line, all players will be tasked with visiting an empty museum in London and slowly filling it with life or dead exhibits. The “Museum of the Occult” offers space for creativity and many decisions for the players, as they can choose which exhibits to display and in what poses these should be presented.
Accessing the various exhibits isn’t easy, as players need to find different story entries, complete special (kill) achievements, or explore specific areas.
In the past, housing was excluded even though it was often desired, later opening a “never say never” loophole.
After decorating your own museum as beautifully and creepily as possible, you can invite other players and show off your own haunted house.
The patch, which is scheduled to be deployed to the test server next week, also brings some changes to the Fusang area to encourage players to engage in various activities. Along with this comes the introduction of elite vulnerabilities, with each weapon able to apply a different debuff to enemies, benefiting the entire group.
