Nintendo has published new information about the Switch 2 in a first detailed Nintendo Direct. In addition to technical details about the new console, there was also information about upcoming games. In 2025, players can look forward to a new version of Cyberpunk 2077.
In the latest Nintendo Direct, the Japanese studio announced new details about the console as well as games for the upcoming console. Third-party manufacturers also showcased their titles for the new hybrid console.
CD Project Red announced that the Sci-Fi role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2077, will also come to the console. Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 on the launch day of the console, June 5.
The game is being released in the so-called Ultimate Edition
, meaning the DLC Phantom Liberty
will be included right away.
How is the community reacting? Under the official tweet from Nintendo, community enthusiasm has been limited so far. Users doubt that the game will run reasonably well on the new console.
