Elon Musk has long been known as a fan of Elden Ring and often tweets about the action game. Now he showed his build with a screenshot, and his equipment doesn’t look good.
The tech billionaire Elon Musk is considered the richest man in the world (via forbes.com). With the sale of the payment service PayPal, Musk made a lot of money and subsequently founded or acquired many companies with some visionary ideas.
These include the electric car manufacturer Tesla, the rocket company SpaceX, or the tunnel boring/Hyperloop company with the clever name The Boring Company.
Musk’s stakes in the companies are worth billions, and the entrepreneur seems to be constantly moving forward in search of the next innovation.
However, you can’t say the same about his build in Elden Ring. Recently, Musk tweeted a sentence about the artistic action RPG, and during a conversation under the tweet, the entrepreneur showed a screenshot of his build:

Many players who delve deeper into Elden Ring are almost confused about how Elon Musk plays Elden Ring. On Twitter, for example, @Zoey_Cakes says: “What the hell kind of build is that? I thought the guy was a genius?”
What is already laughed at on Twitter often ends up being ridiculed on reddit. There, Elon Musk’s build should not be missing:
After nearly 4 hours, the thread on reddit already has over 600 comments and continues to grow. Many confused but amused users can be found there, criticizing the tech billionaire’s build.
We have collected a few comments for you:
- ParadigmEnigma99: “The entire equipment is just funky. I could forgive that with the armor and the stuff because of Fashion Souls. But the rest looks like something my 10-year-old cousin would use.”
- Bazzle-zazzle: “The two shields frustrate me the most.”
- ihaverocketlegs: “Oh man. It looks like he is trying to recreate 4 different “MOST OP BUILDS” from YouTube at the same time.”
- BigSilky71: “I thought the guy worked 25 hours a day and slept on the factory floor. How does he find the time to play Elden Ring with such a build?”
The discussions in the thread are diverse and lively. Many players exchange their own build approaches, explain why the build isn’t so strong, and some are grateful for the tips.
As so often, Elon Musk manages to inspire others and amaze with his actions – even if this time in a very different way than usual.
Why is the build so bad? As the comments on reddit suggest, almost nothing makes sense in the build. Here are a few of the most obvious oddities:
- He is so heavily equipped that he suffers from so-called “Fat Rolls” – slow dodging movements that should almost always be avoided.
- Fat Rolls can be fine if you have enough poise in exchange. However, Elon Musk only has 54, which is extremely low for the heavy load.
- He has 2 shields in the left hand, both serving almost identical purposes: 100% physical block, no talent.
- His glintstone staff, on the other hand, is not used in the offhand but with 2 similar swords in one slot.
- He has 3 (weak) spirit ashes in the quick-select bar, but no HP or mana potions or the horse.
- He has gone over the wisdom soft cap but doesn’t use any strong spells.
- Despite the heavy weight, he has invested little in strength and endurance, while 60 strength is almost a must in the endgame.
A comment on reddit summarizes the apparently hastily assembled build: “He may level in wisdom, but that’s not a smart build.”
