The YouTuber Esoterickk is considered by many to be the best solo player in Bungie’s shooter Destiny 2. He frequently comes up with new challenges to entertain himself and his viewers: cleaning up a Master Nightfall solo would not be a problem for him. But can one do it without using the movement keys WASD?
Who is this?
- Many view Esoterickk as the best solo player in PvE of Destiny 2. The question remains whether he is the best or the eccentric Twitch streamer Gladd: He may be leading with his clan “Redeem” in raids, but Esoterickk is considered a PvE god in solo play.
- Esoterickk is known for making Destiny 2 harder for himself by imposing handicaps and completing activities solo that would usually fail whole groups: In 2018 he completed the “Broken Throne” solo and that without the use of weapons.
- His new stunt piece is also exciting fans on YouTube.
Playing Titan without WASD – Is that possible?
What is he doing this time? In a video from October 31st, Esoterick is taking on a Master Nightfall solo – and that without using the WASD keys, so without movement input.
He says: He did it on Master because Grandmaster would have been too tedious. On Master, it is still exciting and entertaining.
He is still allowed to jump and use the Sparrow, at least via boost commands. Most of the movement would come from sword attacks, the thruster, and the super.
In the end, Esoterickk, whose face hardly anyone knows, says: “Ultimately not that difficult, but something different.”
How is this being commented on? YouTube users are already familiar with this – they say things like:
- “The Hive is currently being stomped by a Guardian who doesn’t want to move his legs.”
- “Always delivers the content we didn’t know we needed.”
- “If the game is so easy for you that you create tasks for yourself.”
